Chapter six

I never thought I would actually see the  exact  way of my destination. But I did. Everyone has the same destination. Death. Some the same way. Others completely different. Death varies and it's not a thing that can be so easily predicted. Death is a permanent thing and it's something that can't be reversed and I exclude the biters of course.

It's your already determined faith and it'll happen to everyone at some point. I'm not scared to die. Heck, I'm actually waiting for my time to come. The only frustrating thing is; when?

It was dark, isolated and my vision was blind. A black haze danced in front of my milky white eyes, leaving me unable to see. It was strange. There was a feeling in my gut that I couldn't manage to identify. It wasn't really positive, but I also couldn't say it was quite negative either. Everything was so black and dark. I couldn't see a thing, but somehow it was soothing to me. Somehow I was calm. I couldn't see the shrill horrors that kept echoing in my ear drums.

Death, death was what I heard. The sound of people getting their organs ripped open and their eyes gouged out with long finger nails. Somehow my bravery vanished into oblivion and even though I walked passed the dying people, I couldn't actually be bothered by it. As if my heart died inside my no longer beating chest.

I let out a shriek when two hands grabbed me and pulled me off the gravel road I was sauntering on. A hand caught mine and held them tight against a hard surface, nearly breaking them in half. Two semi familiar blue eyes stared at me, but the person who they belonged to kept quiet. He just stared at my face for a while. As if he was wondering if it really was me and no one else.

"Did you forget about me, my dear Violet? Did you forget why you are here?" His raspy voice growled in my ear. I felt his breath hitch in my neck, instantly making my neck hair rise. I cringed at the feeling of the person nearly breaking my wrists and  yelped  out in excruciating pain.

"You died with a broken heart remember? A with the color of the deepest and darkest night and the color of dark ink. A thing caused by me. The one who left you broken" The person pulled me in closer, nearly into his chest. His breath almost tickled my ear, making my breaths ragged and small. His words hit me like a bullet hole and dripped like poison off of my broken soul. I felt like yelling and screaming, but my mouth was zipped and no words left my mouth. Wake up, Violet. Wake the hell up for heaven's sake!

Suddenly, I felt the most horrible pain I'd ever experienced. His hand punched through my lungs, knocking the breath out of me. Pain ached through my veins, beating my adrenaline that was already pulsing through my veins. I felt his hand rummaging through my chest, as if he was looking for something he couldn't find at first. A wet crimson seeped through my already soaked shirt onto his arm and slowly to the ground. Due to my lack of breath, I began choking on my own breath and I heard myself making these awful gurgling sounds. I, I felt like I was dying.

The pain ended when he retracted his arm and held on to something. He opened his bloodied hand, revealing an awful sight. It nearly made me fall back to the ground, all shivering like a helpless little child.

In his hand was my heart.

It was all black and no longer beating. It had deep cracks along the muscle tissue and it was dead you could say. It was filled with the demons inside of me. The ones that were never able to break out when I was younger. The ones that had managed to stay out of the burning light for so damn long. That's why my heart was so black. They forgot to breath so they drowned into sadness. I stared at it, feeling the need to cry. I felt it all over again. I was slowly falling and  crashing again . I was just waiting for the fatal smack.
