Shenandoah's POV.
"I won't be able to pick you up today from school, I have a late meeting at work."
"So what happens with me?" This is one of the many reasons I wish I still lived with my parents.
My parents.
My stable parents. About a year ago I moved out of the house, moving in with my sister to her little piece of paradise. The house was closer to my school, one of the reasons I moved. And also I didn't want to be a burden to my parents, when they want to be alone. So I left.
"Devaun will come and pick you up from school, after hockey right? At ....3:00. Right?" This was just great, now Carmody's new boyfriend's brother is picking me up from school, just great. Devaun is going to see me sweaty from hockey. The worst part is that I know Carmody will not be at a late meeting, she is talking crap, she will most probably be with Damian, at his house.
"What? Okay then what about dinner, it's your turn."
"I will be at Damian's house so you and Devaun can order take out." Just the thought of me and Devaun ...alone in the house, gives me butterflies in my stomach.
Lots and lots of butterflies.
"Okay." With that I exited the car, as it reached the parking spot, I could hear Carmody's squeaky annoying voice, calling for me to come back to the car. But I was too pissed to go back. How could she make me have dinner with a half-stranger, and let him pick me up. It was so irresponsible, immature, unreasonable. It was just Carmody's natural and normal behavior.
I took in a deep breath as I made my way to my locker, praying that Armando is not there.
Armando Séporã.
The schools quarter back. The idiot of the football team, yet he is the captain. He couldn't spell even IQ.
He was also your typical jerk, who by the way everybody, when I mean everybody I mean EVERYBODY, loved him. He was dating the principles daughter, who is a total bicth. They were the "power couple" of the century. He also liked picking on people, he thought were not cool, for example me.
Why? Well I was the typical Gothic child who loved black. And Armando Séporã thought it was his duty to tease me. And so did everyone else.
As I made my way to my black locker, I didn't see him with in a 10m radius. I felt my body relax. I twisted my lock, then heard the click from the lock. I grabbed my Spanish books, closing my locker and locking it, I headed to homeroom.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The rest of the day went on as usual, I sat alone in the library, reading Twilight. I always thought Bella was luck, to find a guy -even though he is a vampire- who likes her for her. Her flaws, mistakes, personality and all.
During the day I bumped into Armando, in the hallways, he had a field day teasing me on my clumsyness.
I just ignored him, like I always do and headed to the locker rooms. It was after school and the hallways were full of people conveying.
The lockers were equally as full, most of them were changing into yoga cloths. I really didn't understand the purpose of Yoga. It's just relaxing in a fancy position. But I didn't judge. I moved to the back of the locker room, finding the rest of the hockey players, preparing for practise.
We were all basically the same. We all took this sport to take out our anger and to just have fun. But we were all from different groups, during lunch we were not like the football team or the cheerleading squared who sat together, we say with our on group of people. Also the school didn't take hockey as serious as football. It angered our coach, Mrs Parker. She was your typical hockey coach, had a great body for a 36 or 37 year old lady. She loved playing with us, not just sitting in the bench and commanding. But the funny thing is that she is also the Art teacher during school hours.
I never knew an Art teacher could have such a rough side and an angry side. Usually they are at peace, they are the ones that usually do Yoga. Well not Mrs Packer.
"Hey Shenandoah, did you see the hockey match yesterday?" Ally asked me as she tied her sneakers.
Ally Adams was the goalkeeper for the team. She was the best because she had fast reflexes. She was a "nerd " she hang out with the chess group during lunch.
But she was really goof at hockey, who would have thought? A nerd, play hockey.
"No, but I will watch the catchup's tonight. " I couldn't watch the match because I was at my parents anniversary party, and my sister was hoarding the remote after the party. I really felt like hitting the nonsense out of her.
"Well you will be very disappointed with the results." Linda's voice spoke behind me. Linda Séporã, yes Armando Séporã's sister, was the captain of the team. I guess the sports runs in the family. Her and Armando were twins, but yet so unlike. Armando was walking devil, Linda was a angel.
"Okay girls out on the field, run 5 laps, then Linda, lead the warm up exercise. And Bianca do the register. Move It!! " Mrs Parker's voice filled the room after we were all done changing. She blow her whistle, and we all exited the room.
Never underestimate an Art teacher.

"Great practise girls. We are defiantly winning this years trophy. Like we do every year." With that all of us headed to the locker room, panting and gasping for air.
"Guys when we win, we could celebrate." Missile suggested as she grabbed her blue hockey stick, putting it in her locker.
"Yeah we should. We should throw a party, or go to the mall with our boyfriend's also." Bianca added, earning laughter to her suggestion. Bianca was the only one out of all of us who had a stable boyfriend, well excluding Mrs Parker.
Everyone else had no boyfriend, like me, or was in a complicated situation.
"Very funny Bianca." I said as I grabbed my hockey bag, leaving the locker room with the others hot on my heels, laughing there heads off. After maneuvering my way through the Yoga freaks, I finally reached the empty hall way. You wouldn't think that two hours ago this halls were full of people.
"Bye Guys, see y'all tomorrow during practise. " Hannah dismissed, followed by many "Bye's"
I made my way out the school doors. Looking around the lot for any sign of Devaun. The cool wind, cooled me off.
"Looking for someone?" That now familiar deep husky voice asked me. I turned to my right looking at Devaun leaning against a Mercedes C Class? I think? I wasn't that good with cars really.
"No one in particular." I stated as I moved towards the red car. I could feel the electricity building as I moved to the passengers door.
I could see the smirk plastered on his face as I got in to the car, feeling the cool leather seats against my bottom.
