Shenandoah's POV.
"Can we watch something that we will both enjoy." He was getting on my last nerve. I always watch Big Bang Theory during supper, mostly because that is the only thing me and Carmody both like watching. And hers was Devaun complaining about how boring it is. He kept saying that he would have killed Sheldon by now, after all he has done.
"What would that be?" I asked, stuffing a chicken noodle soup, noodle in my mouth. I might love Chinese, but I used a fork, I never was taught how to eat with chopsticks.
"How about .... a movie?" He questioned, poking his chopsticks in his Chinese box. He was seated there seat from me, on the same red couch. It appeared to be that he was keeping a distance between us?
Odd.....
"A movie? Really the best you could do?" I placed my empty box on the glass table, crossing my legs after. I looked over at him, he was smiling also looking at me. I couldn't help but smile also.
"Fine, what do you want to do then?" He also placed is box on the glass table, before taking a sip of his Pepsi fizzy drink. He kept his eyes in me. I looked at how his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he gulped down the remains of his Pepsi.
"Let's talk." He finally suggested, I guess knowing that I was to busy staring at him to respond.
"Okay." I eventually looked away from his piercing grey eyes. Looking at the television screen. It immediately went black. I looked over at Devaun, he had the slik black Samsung remote in his yellow bone hands. He skin was much lighter than your average black person.
"I thought we were talking Mrs Wolf." His grin was so mesmerizing, I shock my head to bring me back to reality.
"How do you know my surname?" I asked looking at him, waiting for an answer. His smile grow even bigger, if it was possible.
"Most of California knows about the Wolf Empire." He simply stated, with a shrud with his shoulders. Wolf Empire was my father's business. Well known by everyone basically.
"Okay. How old are you?" This was most probably the only chance I got to talk to him, so might as well find out the light things now.
"I am ... wait, ladies first. How old are you?" I just knew he wouldn't let me find put so easily, I barely know anything about him. But he already knows so much about me.
"I asked you first." I was going to stand my ground. I wont give in that fast.
"Okay then, I am twenty one. You?"
Twenty one? So he is in university. Is he been studying? Where is he studying?
So many more questions popped in my head."I am eighteen." There were three years between us. Not that much?
"So you are in your last year at high school?" He looked like he was very intrigued by my life, hard to believe.
"Yeah. Are you in your third year in university? "
Don't judge, I had to ask, it was a burning question. Okay."I am not in university." His face immediately turned into a frown. I felt like standing up to go and rub off the caresses his eyebrows made on his forehead.
I immediately regretted asking that question, it obviously makes him remember something he regrets or wishes he had done.
"Sorry I asked." That was all I could say at the moment, I just hoped I could ask again later on, in a later stage of our friendship.
He looked at me with a confused look on his face.
"No Shenandoah, don't apologise. You did nothing wrong." It looked like he was trying to reach for hand, over the three seats, trying to reassure me. I think?"I noticed there is a lot of black and lime green in your room, and bathroom, don't get me started with the clothing. What is up with that?" He tried to change the subject. The air was getting thicker and thicker by the second.
"I love lime green and black, they are my favourite colours." I smiled, just thinking of what I am wearing.
"Wow, I have never meet a girl who loves black and green."
"It's not green. It lime green." I defended, I could see he was trying not to smile.
"What is your favourite colour?"
"Blue, I know clique, I just love it. I am not obsessed with my favourite colours like you." He let out a little chuckle. I grabbed a hold of the white small pillow next to me, chucking it at him. It hit him on his chest.
Laughter filled the large lounge room.
He suddenly became serious, like he thought what he was doing was wrong?"Do you believe in love?" Tons and tons of butterflies filled my stomach, I felt like I suddenly lost all my internal organs. Why would he ask that?
Out of the blue?
