Luke's POV;
Yesterday, I asked Star to be my girlfriend, and I am so happy that she said yes. I got her a cute little penguin necklace with our initials on it, and to be honest, I was afraid that she wouldn't like it. The reason for that being that she isn't into cliché things like that. Thankfully though, she loved it.
Everyone always told Star and I that we would date, or at least have some small feeling for each other eventually, but we never listened. We were both a little nervous at first, because if we break up, our friendship may be weird and awkward. We've both decided to push the thought aside for the time being though.
It's currently the second week of summer vacation, and I've been loving every second of it so far. I wanted Star to sleepover at my house last night, but she had family coming in from England, so I understand why she couldn't.
I was just eating some cereal and scrolling through the TV channels, realizing that there was nothing good on. Finally, I came to Mean Girls, and decided to leave it there, because it's an okay movie.
Wait no, it's a great movie. I have no regrets.
I was pretty into the movie, when my phone buzzed. I checked to see that it was Star. I smiled at the picture of us when we were little, that appeared on my screen whenever she called me.
"Hey Star." I answered.
"Luke, hi." she said. "Can I come over?" she asked. I was kind of surprised. I mean yeah, I wanted to see her, but I would feel bad if I was taking away her time with her family that she only sees every couple of years.
"I don't wanna take away your time with your family though." I told her.
"It'll be fine, they're still here for another week and a half or so anyway." She was kind of speaking quickly, as if she were in a hurry.
"But I want to meet your family! Its pretty cool that they're from England. I'm actually a little surprised that I've never met them before, being that we've been friends for so long."
"Alright, fine. You can meet them, but then can we go somewhere else?"
"Yeah, I'll be over in a few minutes." I could walk to her house, since it was just a ways down the street. We both walked to each others houses quite frequently.

I got to Star's house to be greeted by Ashton at the door, there was a girl who looked about the age of Star and I standing there next to him.
"Ashton, what are you doing here?"
"I came over this morning. Star just couldn't wait to tell me everything that happened yesterday. She was practically fangirling over it." He replied with a giggle.
I smiled at the thought, just as Star approached the door. "Hey Luke!" She said as she came over and hugged me tightly.
"Hey, Star" I smiled down at her.
"Ahem." the girl standing next to Ashton said.
"Oh right, sorry guys. Luke, this is my cousin Lauren. Lauren, this is my boyfriend Luke." I smiled at Lauren and reached out to shake her hand. She shook it and smirked at me. Star led me inside, I'm guessing to meet the rest of her family. Elise was playing with a little girl that looked maybe a year older than her, while the adults were having coffee at the table.
