-Time: 5:00-
"It's time to get ready!" Ruby shouted to me from downstairs, she had just dropped by her house to get her "Emergency Date Outfit" Id never seen it but I trusted my gorgeous best friend's fashion sense.
She hauled a huge box upstairs, ripping it open I discovered, 1 tube of mascara, light pink lipstick (almost a natural color), dark eyeliner, nudish colored eye shadow, along with very natural looking blush, all sitting in a glass-top jewelry box, balancing on top of a cute pair of dark blue jeans (they looked really tight), a spaghetti strap white tank top (luckily not see through), and a faded, red leather jacket to top it off.
As I examined the looked Ruby hopped up and down excited and somehow still surviving in her 3 inch heels. Finally she handed me a pair of black combat boots she had tucked behind her back.
I started with the makeup, which I could've done alone, but she insisted on helping, we finished at 5:25. After that I changed into all my clothes except the boots, which I would skip off and the end. 5:33.
Then she got out a curling iron and began properly twisting my hair around the iron, getting perfect curls instead of my usual loose and casual loose ones. By that time the clock read, 5:50. I slipped on my boots and Ruby tried giving me advice.
"Order something, clean" I nodded
"Sit on the other side of the booth or table"
"If he leans in after the date, KISS"
"What?"
"If he leans in, kiss him otherwise it will be awkward and ruin the night!"
My stomache turned, kiss on the first date? But Ruby was right. If it ended awkwardly cause I didn't kiss back, I'd have to see him, every day. And that would be really awkward!
"Lastly, if he tries to grab you, you know, slap him."
I blushed at the thought of him "grabbing" me. SNAP OUT OF IT! I wasn't that obsessed with him... I don't think so at least.
6:00 soon rolled around and I heard a knock on the door just as the clock said six.
