Chapter 2

It's been a week and I'm still phased by that e-mail. If ANYONE knew

my past, everyone would hate me. Things wouldn't be the same. It was

better being popular than being a total loser and outcast.

When I got home from school that day, another e-mail had been

delievered. I took a deep breath. It was from an anonymous person,

like the e-mail before. Slowly, I clicked on the e-mail.

'Charlie,

I know where you are babe.

Look out your window!

You might be surprised ;)

Teeheeheeeheee.

x'

I ran to my balcony and pushed the windows open out. My window faced

the garden and there was a slide going from there to the pool which

was nearly underneath the balcony.

What was put there, caught my eye.

It wasn't really... put.

More like, carved or drawn ...

In the grass, someone had lawn mowed

'i'm coming for you'

I felt sick.

I knew it was some dumb old prank. Probably by my big sister, Ruby.

She obviously hadn't seen it yet. She never went out in the garden. She would go balistic if she saw it. I assumed it was her. Then, the strangest thing happened, Ruby stared out onto the massive lawn and right at the letters. She just shrugged and said 'The grass needs cutting.' I went to get a drink and when I came back onto my balcony, I nearly chocked on my Coke. It was gone. How? I pushed it out of my mind, it was just a mind trick. That's all.

I lived with my older sister, 24 years old, called Ruby. My little

sister, who was 12 and called Shannon, was swimming in the pool. I'm 16.

My parents died 4 years ago. We got the money from our parents, they

were billionare's and they left us buck loads of money. We've been

living of it. Ruby is a teacher and she earns lots of money which we

used for food and stuff like that.

I went and slid down the slide to my little sister.

'SHANNON!' I barked.

'Yes ?' Shannon whined.

'Get out'

'No'

'Now!'

'No! 10 minutes please ?'

'Okay..' I gave up. 'By the way, You looove Jake!' I quickly perked up

before diving down and tickled her ankles.
