I woke up in Fox's stall with him the next morning and momentarily wondered why I was there. Then everything crashed down on me all at once. I didn't cry, I couldn't anymore after last night. But it was still upsetting. Jacqueline and Nina were soon awake as well as all the horses. The soul riders were still asleep but the three off went out for a ride not wanting to sit with our thoughts. I still didn't know how I felt, the only good thing that had come out of this was that while defending myself I'd figured out how to control my powers and so had Fox, which was good because we would be dead otherwise. A depressing mood hung over us as we cantered in the light of the sunrise. We stopped for a break on a cliff ledge. You could see the entire field as well as the village from here. Shadow broke the silence. "As always, the innocent people will awaken with no knowledge of what happened" "Yeah" Thunder agreed "just like they have everyday for years" Fox remained silent his eyes fixed over the village. We'd been through so much but I felt like we'd become closer because of it. I trusted him far more then I had before. Neither of us had known what we were getting into, but we knew it was important. The importance of our role in this finally had come to me yesterday. I'd wondered from the beginning if I was holding everyone back but now I knew they needed me more then ever. Shadow suddenly broke the silence again "I'm done waiting" he said suddenly a fierce gleam in his eye "and I'm done endangering people who don't need to be involved. I say we go and find Ace before he finds us!" "Yes" Thunder agreed "just us, let's not bring the others, they might look for us but they'll understand in the end" Fox even spoke for this "I agree, before he can do anymore damage" Shadow spoke again with even more determination "Ace you'd better run now, because I am the Light Horse, and nothing can hold me back anymore!" With that the three horses turned and we galloped off to find Ace without even looking back.
