"When finding the angle measure of an oblique triangle, you hav-"

Mrs. Jane was boring me to death with trigonometry. I was taught trigonometry in ninth grade. Everyone know this stuff, yet she still teaches it to us.

I am very grateful for being in a class that doesn't have Hunter, but Mrs. Jane really needs to stop talking.

My eyes meet the clock on the wall, silently begging it to hurry up and end class already.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

"I'm sorry Ms. James, but does the clock interest you more than I do?" A voice says, snapping me out of my daze.

I look up to see Mrs. Jane and the entire class looking at me.

Sitting up straight, I clear my throat to speak.

"You have no idea," I mumble, nervously biting my lip.

A few people that heard me, let out a small laugh.

"Excuse me?" Mrs. Jane asks, raising her eyebrows.

I cleared my throat once again. "I said no...ma'am."

Mrs. Jane narrowed her eyes, then faced the white board to continue boring-I mean teach the class.

I take out my notebook and grab my pencil, starting to copy the notes on the board. Once I finished, I started to try to pay attention to Mrs. Jane.

Emphasis on the word try.

She kept on talking and talking and talking...

I suddenly had the urge to doodle. On the same page I had written my notes. I began to draw a heart, a circle, a square...

What? I'm not much of a drawer. That was the best I could do. I continued drawing till my pencil broke.

Great.

Letting out a sigh, I take out my phone and text Shane, who was sitting on the other side of the classroom.

Hey, stranger. - Carolina

You shouldn't be texting in class. - Shane

I roll my eyes.

Seriously Shane?

Mrs. Jane shouldn't be teaching. - Carolina

Leave the poor teacher alone. We can all tell she hasn't been laid in months! - Shane

You have no idea. I'm sure it's years, not months. -Carolina

Give the woman a break. She's what, forty? Fifty years old? She has no game! - Shane

I lift an eyebrow in wonder.

Why are you so keen on defending her? Trying to hide your forbidden romance?
- Carolina

Pfft. Yeah right! I bet if I do get with her, she won't be this nagging, old, boring teacher.
- Shane
