New story! Tell me what you think! It has some elements from the original story of Beauty and The Beast. The rest is just my idea and has a modern twist.
It would be awesome if somebody could make me a cover for this story. If you want to make one, send it to me by message.
I'm excited about this story *

***Beauty and The Beast Chapter 1***
*Snow and Roses*
"Jem run! He's right on our trail." I shouted in panic, looking behind me to see Jem sprinting to catch up with me, a bag of toys in his hands. A grouchy policeman running right behind him; it's not our fault toys are too expensive for commoners.
"Soph, I know! Run!" He huffed, finally catching up next to me, his blonde hair a ruffled mess. His hazel eyes filled with worry, while I'm sure my green eyes were filled with excitement. We were speeding our way searching for an exit out of the mall. It was Christmas Eve, therefore they closed the mall and only left one cop on each floor. We had planned the entrance well, just not the exit.
"You damn kids!" The police man shouted behind us, his face was dripping with sweat, but the man kept propelling himself to catch us.
"You damn cop!" I shouted back. All of the policemen were very harsh, due to the King's tyrancy. Many, like Jem and I were without a place to live due to a bad economic system and parents being put as slaves to the King to pay off debt. Jem is my childhood friend, our parents were friends as well. We're always together, stuck to eachother like magnets.
Therefore due to the cruelty of the king, I believe stealing toys for the less fortunate is quite justified. I mean we wouldn't have to, if the prices were reasonable.
"Soph! Don't piss him off! We're going to end up in a jail!" Jem scolded me and I rolled my eyes.
"Please Jem, the man will pass out from exhaustion in a while." I responded, watching in amusement as the man exponentially slowed down, while Jem and I continued running quickly with toys and clothes in our arms.
"True, however we still should hurry." Jem stated and pushed himself into a faster pace.
"I know. I'm not stupid." I scoffed and ran faster to catch up to him.
"I know you're not, but do you realize how many times you're selflessness and recklessness has got us into trouble?" He asked sternly, turning right in a hallway. We passed by Starbucks and Hot Topic quickly, once we saw the EXIT sign in big red glowing letters. We slammed the metal door open and I laughed
crazily as I heard the alarm go off.
"This is fun Jem." I smiled widely.
"To you. To me it is quite frightening." He retorted, we did our best to run over the snow with our new shoes that we were able to snag. I chose my favorite red chucks, while Jem chose a black pair of Vans.
"You worry too much." I tsked and he sent me a look of exasperation that made me laugh. I noticed my breath came out in a smoky haze. It was cold.
The snowflakes were biting at my cheeks, my hands were freezing and my teeth clattering.
"It seems like a blizzard is coming." Jem commented with worry. I shrugged my shoulders and dug my feet into the snow, running as fast as I could.
"Then let's hurry." I said and together we sprinted, the cold snow drowning us.
It wasn't long after that we heard the police sirens by the mall and that's when I began to worry. The police was nearby, it was difficult to see which way it was to the orphanage with the coming blizzard and it was tiring to run in snow. My feet were wet and freezing.
