Part 17

Trish's POV

I nodded my head looking up at him. "so we're siblings" he clarified. I nodded my head. "Does he live with you?" i asked. "Yeah why?" he asked. "of course" i muttered. "Why tho?" he asked. "cause he left me and my mom" i said. "Oh damn I'm sorry" he said awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "Hey what are you guys talking about over there?" Cam asked. "should we tell them?" kalin asked. "tell us what?" bri asked. "we are getting married" i said and all of their faces went flat. "guys I'm just kidding, we are brother and sister" i said holding up the two pictures. "brush i was about to kill the both of y'all" Bri said taking the pictures. They looked at the pictures then back at us. "See i told you they look like brother and sisters! You owe me 20 bucks now" Melina said to Myles. "You guys made a bet on us!" i said. "Yeah" Myles said laughing. "Wait so does your mom know?" Cam asked. "I don't think so but her and my dad should be home any minute" Kalin said checking the time. Just as then the door bell rang. We all got up and walked downstairs. Kalin opened the door revealing his mom and his dad.. well our dad i guess. "Hey sweetie" he said kissing kalin's cheek. "Hey guys!" she said hugging all of us. "Hey mama star" we all said. "Hey ma, dad, can i talk to you" he said motioning me outside with them. "whats up guys?" she asked as she closed the door behind us. Kalin stood next to me as he moved his hand around showing the resemblance between us. "Kalin its just a coincidence" His dad said. We both took out the pictures and handed it to them. "You two go inside while we talk about this" Mama star said. We walked in as the squad came out of the kitchen with sprites and chips. "well! what did they say?" Bri said. "We don't know yet" i said. I sat down on Myles lap on the couch as we waited. "Can i have a chip babe" i asked turning around. "sure" he said reaching in the bag and grabbing a chip. He held in front of my mouth but then he ate it. "Stop playing" i said laughing. "alright alright" he said smiling. He grabbed another chip and held it in front of my mouth. Once i opened my mouth he ate the chip again. "come on stop being a fatty and give me some" i pouted. "fine fine" he said. He grabbed a chip and fed it to me. "yay" i said eating it. He slightly chuckled then the front door opened. "hey guys can you go up to Kal's room or out to the pool which ever your prefer while the 4 of us talk" Mama star asked. Myles kissed my cheek then followed the others upstairs. Kalin sat next to me on the couch as Mama star and his dad sat on the couch across from me. "So your father and I talked and.. we would like it if you would move in with us. If you are comfortable how your staying now then thats fine but our home is open to you" Mama star said smiling. "Uhm no actually we said that she was gonna move in, like 100%" Kalins dad argued back. "No you suggested that but-" I cut mama star off "But you never have been a father to me so technically your not my father" i said. "Yeah basically what she said" Mama star said. "But I'm still legally your father so i still can tell you what to do" He said back to me. "Okay but if you were to go to court with all of this nonsense then they would rule you out as a "father" figure because you weren't there for the 17 years of my life" i said. "Im sorry Mama star but I'm gonna leave now" i said standing up. She stood up and walked me to the front door. "Don't listen to him sweetie, like i said our house is always open if you need us at anytime" she said hugging me. "Thank you" i said then started walking. As i walked about 2 streets down i ended up on my porch. I took out my keys and unlocked the door. I walked in and tossed the keys onto my counter. Just as i closed the door and locked it i headed upstairs. I grabbed the key on top of my moms bedroom door and unlocked her door. I saw a small box on her bed. I know she left it for me but i couldn't bring myself to open it. I sat down on her bed and picked up the small box which fit perfectly in my hand. I opened it revealing one of her old phones. I unlocked it then saw there was a voicemail. She left a voicemail but i couldn't bring myself to press play so i sat there. I sat there for hours which felt like only minutes. I snapped out of spacing out and saw its been 3 hours. Just then Myles was standing in the doorway. "Hey we've been trying to call you and i got worried" he said sitting next to me. "whats that?" he asked. "Its a voicemail that my mom left me but i cant bring myself to press play" I said holding the phone in my hand. He reached over, his finger hovered over the play button as he looked at me for agreement. I nodded my head as he pressed play. He got up to give me some time alone but i held his hand. He looked at me and sat back down. "Hey sweetie, I'm gonna be in New York for a while but i will definitely bring you back something. It's really beautiful here, you would love to see the city lights and oh my god at night its precious just like you. But did you know that they have an m&m store here I'm about to go in right now. This city is amazing. After you graduate high school we will fly out here and have our own little girls trip. You can even bring Brielle and Madi because i know you guys can't live apart from each other. Well i'll text you or call you later when i get to my hotel room. I love you" then the voicemail finished. I just sat there staring blankly at the phone. I couldn't feel anything. The hurt. The love. Nothing. I looked in Myles eyes. His soft brown eyes made me melt. Just then, i bursted out into tears. He held me close to his chest rocking me back and fourth. Tears flew out of my eyes. I just can't believe she's gone. She had all of these plans for the future and now she's gone. "shh its gonna be ok" Myles said still holding me in his arms. "s-shes gone Myles" I cried into his chest. "i know baby girl but its gonna be alright" he said rubbing my back.
