Darkness Rises (One Piece Fanfic)

Chapter 4 - Pt. 1 - Pirate Pit Stop.

While Graam and the crew were on their way to Den Country, along with Pilot navigating the ship, in one of the many taverns in the eastern part of the large town a ruckus had seemed to begin to brew as a small boy walked through the double doors of the tavern. The boy had red spiky hair, reddish brown eyes, and looked like any regular joyous carefree kid. He wore a baggy red hoodie with white stripes, a white under shirt with a blue collar, baggy blue jeans, and a pair of red and white shoes. As he walked through the tavern towards the bar, pirates that were already in the tavern and seated at the bar stared at the young boy as he casually strolled into the tavern he was too young to be in.

"Hey brat, you lost or something, don't you know this place is for grown folks?" One pirate said with a raspy voice as he blocked the boy's path.

Behind the boy a tall strange half rabbit half human hybrid creature walked in. The rabbit had long ears that laid towards his back, Snow White fur, and a slinky yet muscular figure. It wore a pair of goggles on its forehead, a red puffy vest, a pair of blue jean held up with a yellow belt, and red gloves with metal knuckle guards.

"It would be in your best interest if you didn't talk to my captain like that!" The rabbit calmly stated, its voice was semi-deep and had a too cool for school sound to it.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!" Another pirate yelled sitting at one of the many table as he pointed to the creature.

All the other pirates were staring at the strange creature, they had never seen anything like it, even the bartender had been freaked out by the creature.

"It's a freaky looking thing, that's for sure!" A pirate seated at another table yelled.

"Captain?" The pirate standing in front of the young boy sneered. "Are you telling me you two are some kind of pirate crew?" Every pirate in the tavern hushed all at once into silence, then simultaneously every pirate howled in laughter.

"YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! A brat and a freakish weirdo, pirates?" The pirate in front of the red haired kid laughed, "Being a pirate isn't for pretend damn brat, this is real life, live or die as a pirate!"

"And which one of us do you think would die, if this were to play out?" The boy cryptically asked as he looked up at the pirate smiling.

"As if you could kill me, brat!" The pirate in front of him replied as he slammed the palm of his hand onto the boys head.

Instantly the tall rabbit creature leapt into the air towards the pirate bullying his captain, and with a swift kick to the face he sent the pirate into the bar destroying the section he landed on. All the other pirates stood from their seats, ready to attack.

"You're gonna die now freak!" One pirate yelled with a high raspy voice. The pirate then drew his pistol and fired at the rabbit.

'BANG'

The loud gunshot rang through the tavern, alerting people outside.

"Ahhhhh!" A woman was heard screaming from the outside of the tavern.

"The Pirates are rampaging RUN!" A man yelled working others passing by into a frenzy.

The pirate who had shot the gun had looked to the streets outside and heard the people yelling. He knew his captain would not be pleased if any of the civilians alerted the marines of pirates lurking in the city. "Damn rabbit freak look what you made me do! Now the marines are gonna know that we're he-" he suddenly paused as he return his glare at the sight of small boy's hand saving the rabbit. The boys hand had morphed into a large brick wall in front of the bullet's path.

"Haha, did you really think I'd just let u shoot my friend?" The boy laughed as he slipped his free hand in his pocket.

"Wha-what the hell?! Your hand became a brick wall, how'd you do that?" The pirate that just recently fired his gun asked amazed by the sight.
