It Just Kinda Happened

Chapter One

So I edited my story as you can tell. I kept the basics but I changed the writing style and made it a lot longer. Enjoy the first part of my story.

Ariana's Pov

I don't wanna open my eyes, if I'll have to face the realization that it's the first day of school. Absolute shit. Don't get me wrong I like school just not the hours, people, classes..okay so maybe I don't like school. It's pointless everything we're 'taught' in school can be googled.

I overlook the pointlessness of school and remember that it's basically the gateway to the rest of my life. School is basically where you find out who you are, find friends and develop hopefully life-long relationships, and as they say learn things.

Maybe I should tell you a little about me. School has been absolute hell since 10th grade..when I first fell in love. Typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, but the boy dumps the girl. Crappy part is he's one of my best friends, and his mom and my mom are bffs.

I'm over him though, I'm currently dating Jai Brooks. He's a total asshole at times but so sweet and cute too. My best friends Alexa and Sascha hate him but I'm happy so they put their hatred to the side.

I could rant on about my life forever, but my alarm should be going off anytime soon. Here goes nothing..

I pulled the cover off of my face and reached for my phone. Seeing that it was exactly 6 am, I turned off my alarm and began checking my notifications. I always have a million texts in the morning, just my crazy best friends..I swear they don't sleep. I smiled seeing a text from Jai and opened it immediately.

Jai - Good Morning Sunshine. Hope you slept well and got all the beauty rest you needed. I'll pick you up around 7:05 for school, my brothers will be with me so be nice. Thanks again for giving me a second chance after you know...the whole cheating incident last school year, I promise you're the only girl for me. I hope I'm the only man for you, speaking of...I hear Sean's gonna be in some of your classes, like more than me. DO NOT TALK TO HIM. You're mine got it.

Ariana - Morning Jai. For a second there thought you were gonna send me a text that didn't boss me around. Ass. I can speak to who ever I want that's not your decision. I actually thought we were past the whole me and Sean thing considering he dumped me two years ago and I haven't had any romantic or friendly relations with him since. I'll be ready when you get here.

I yawned, putting my phone down on the dresser before moving the blanket off of me and swinging my legs over the side of the bed. Walking into my closet, I looked around and thought of a good first day of school outfit.

I wanna look cute but not too cute, kinda laid back but not too much you know what I mean. After what felt like a year of thought I chose some black leggings, a black v-neck, a black pair of vans with white laces, and a long grayish-black cardigan.

I always shower the night before just in case I wake up late and have to rush. So I quickly got dressed and made my way into my bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I gave my hair soft waves and I applied light makeup, only eyeliner and mascara.

After I finished getting ready I grabbed my little brown purse that was big enough to fit a 1" binder and put in my basic essentials. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was 6:50, I had enough time to grab something to eat.

"Good Morning Bellissima" My mom said as I walked into the kitchen, I gave her a warm smile and she reciprocated it, "Good Morning Mama" I said, walking around the counter to get to the fridge.

"How did you sleep" She asked, typing away on her laptop but remaining active in our conversation. "Pretty good, I'm just not in a school mood" I said, grabbing a bottle of Mighty Mango Naked and a Kale salad.

"I know you're not honey," She said, pausing to look up at me, "But it's your last year... it'll fly by and be over before you know it" She said, I giggled lightly at her hand gesturing when she said fly. I opened my mouth to speak but got interrupted when the door bell rang.

"That'll be Jai, I'll see you later mom" I said, running over to her and kissing her cheek before she spoke up. "I'm going to New York to see Frankie's play and to be with your grandparents, I'll be gone a week or so.." She said, waving me off as I opened the door and greeted Jai.

"Hey," I smiled, closing the door behind me. "Good morning" I said, puckering my lips as I awaited a kiss which I didn't receive. "Let's go, we're gonna be late" He said, walking off without even kissing me. Asshole.
