I wish to be myself, to never change from who I am.
If I do, may a curse consume me

It has been a few months since Eaucrat had joined the sentinels. Her black plate armour and jet black hair made her extremely visible in the daylight. She held two daggers, one in each hand, and skilfully spun them around. She had two spare daggers tied to her armour, in case she lost her usual daggers.

Eaucrat was a serious guard, always on the lookout for suspicious activity. It was her full-time job to protect the royal treasury and antiques. On the other part, she was also enrolled as an army front-rank soldier.

One of the reasons that this was so, was because Eaucrat was monstrous in strength and could be a terrifying opponent. Although not much, she could use a bit of magic, but mainly used sheer attacking power. By her side was always a dragon with red scales, four legs, five claws on each foot, a pale underside, pointy tail, long droopy whiskers, glowing green eyes and an orange neck.

There was nothing Eaucrat served apart from the kingdom. And there was nothing so far that could break her loyalty to it.

Suddenly, a black mist caught her eye. It was coming from . . . the treasury room! She ran to it to check to see if any damage was done to it. She slammed open the door and saw . . . nothing. The room was empty. It had been cleared out.

Eaucrat slumped to the floor when she heard footsteps to the corner. She quickly stood up and ran in pursuit of the thieves. She reached the thieves and one of them saw her and squeaked. She punished them by severely attacking them without mercy. Her job was done. She returned the stolen treasury and was congratulated by the royal family.

One day, Eaucrat asked for permission to travel afar and it was granted as she had done such good service to them. News of her travelling was all over the country. She was then a free duelist with her travelling companion. She was the black knife-wielder . . . the Stygian Lumina.
