{ Maya's POV }
I bolted for the door. Yes i like Riley. More than a friend, more than a sister. Like a crush. I couldn't tell Riley how I really felt about her, at least not yet. My heart sank when I realized that I could've handled the situation better. But im a bad girl! Right? No... Im doing it for Riley, she needs a person like that in her life. As I walked back to my apparent, I thought about going to Riley's and talking while we sat on the 'Bay Window'. We always talked there. But what hadn't occurred to me was that Lucas was Riley's boyfriend. "Ick... Huckleberry..." I muttered. Lucas was my friend until I became jealous. I know im the quote bad girl but my crush was serious. I opend the door to see the empty apartment. My mothers wasn't home. She never really was these days. I dropped my bag by the door and went to my room. I flopped face first onto my bed, thinking about Riley. Ugg. I can't get her out of my mind. Im in love with my best friend.

{Riley's POV}
Maya.... Maya, Maya, Maya. My train of thought was broken when Lucas came back. "Mind me walking you home?" He asked and smiled sweetly. I raised my eyebrows then gave in. "Sure" I weakly smiled back. Whats wrong with me? Maya..... Ugg im too worried about Maya! She can handle herself. She's tough. I feel Lucas grab my hand. "Lets go" He insisted and we began to walk. "Riley?" He asked, with a hopefully gleam in his eyes. Oh boy... What does he want now? "Yea?" I responded, but kept my guard up. "Wanna go out on Saturday? Your Mom's shop?" He asked. I looked at him and made that goofy smile I usually made. Lucas chuckled. "So.. Is that a yes?" He asked again. I instantly nodded. I felt butterflies in my stomach. A date with Lucas! My first date with my boyfriend! I've gotta tell May- She doesn't want to talk to me... I'll text her. Lucas and I said our goodbyes. All I could think of was my date, but then back to Maya... Would she respond?
