This visit was going to be scary for Ava! What if her mother doesn't recognize her? What if she doesn't want to see Ava? What if she gave Ava up as a child?

After careful consideration, Ava pulled up outside of a house. The house had a poster in the window from 20 years ago that read 'Missing girl! Don't give up hope.'

She raced to the door of the house she was petrified by this point. Tears began to cascade down Ava's face. She knocked on the door effortlessly, a middle-aged woman opened the door to her surprise that her long-lost daughter had found her way back home, where she should be, with her mother. The woman dropped to the floor in tears. After 20 years, her baby had returned!

Ava-Grace embraced her mother an both of the women began to cry in each other's arms.

A moment of silence passed before Julie invited Ava inside, she couldn't believe how similar the house was . The furniture untouched. Pictures on the the fireplace, unmoved, it was spotless and not a thing was out of place. Ava suggested to her mother that she would like to see her room. Julie rushed Ava upstairs hand in hand with her daughter she once lost. The door was slightly different. It was plain white but with pink sparkles.

As the door creaked both of the women edged towards the entrance of the room that had not been entered in 20 years. The first thing that Ava noticed was a unicorn on the floor it was bright pink with white polka dots across its back. This was her favorite toy as a child. She began to think back to that horrendous day, 'It was him you know mum. It was Mark!' Julie was in disbelief. She trusted the man that single-handed ruined her life.

She began to not acknowledge what Ava had said, she was just happy that she had returned. 'Ava, you've turned into such a strong, beautiful woman.' Ava was took back. Nobody had ever complimented her before, she felt a tingle come up through her whole body.

Julie couldn't help it, she embraced Ava one more time, smiling and crying. 'I just cant believe you're home!'
