Julie was gone momentarily to explain to her friends that her daughter had returned. 'Would you like drink?' asked Julie, 'Tea, 2 sugars, thanks.' The piece of paper that she held in her hand was not what she was expecting. 'What have I done?' she dropped to the floor in despair, For what she had in front of her was her birth certificate.
A week passed and it was the day of Mark's funeral.
'Mum? i know you think i shouldn't but i would like to go to Mark's funeral.'
The two women set off, both dressed in a tight, short dress that barely covered their knees. Ava stood in the crowd misguided on her idea. As the body was about to get lowered into the ground she began to feel a slight enthusiasm she didn't like the feeling but how could she feel any different. That man destroyed her chances of a life. The burial was over in what felt like instantly.
The family of Mark aid their last goodbyes and walked away from the buried body. Ava stayed for a little while and began to speak. 'Now look what you made me do. I dint want to do it but you made me. You ruined my life dad.' She threw the birth certificate on the floor with the words Mark Longford highlighted.
