"Rise as shine beautiful!" I heard Lyla say.
I open my eyes slowly and saw her big green eyes staring at me as if I was a duck. She loves ducks.
"Good morning." I said half yawning. "What are you doing up so early?" I asked as I looked out the window to the 7:00 sky.
"Well I know it is your birthday," she said with her lisped voice, "and I wanted to surprise you." She giggled.
"Thanks Lyla you're the best sister." I added.
Lyla isn't my sister. In fact, not in any way are we related. That's Kat's daughter. She's five. She's in the room next to mine, and she just recently got her two front teethe ripped out, so I haven't gotten many peaceful nights of sleep.
Lyla left the room and I begin to stare at the ceiling, not to mention ignoring the big stack of gifts in the corner. Faith begins to talk her her sleep.
"Turnip" she said as she put a peace sign up to her eye.
I started dying of laughter.
She woke up rather startled by this and said "Good morning birthday princess, how's it going?".
Now you see why I love her. That's my ball of butter.

I unplugged my phone and scrolled through my notifications. Aunty Marie, Cousin Bret, Dad, Kat, Logan.. No Bryce. Maybe he's still asleep. After all it's 4 A.M there. But I was kinda hoping he would send me one at 12.
