'Do you know how much money I paid for this damn thing?' He yelled into the phone, 'I paid extra to have your people come and install it and now it's not working'

'Sir, please if you could just....' the customer care rep began on the other end, straining to keep a calm, respectful tone.

'If it's broken, I'm not paying for repairs' he shouted cutting the rep off, 'I want it replaced. Nothing but white noise ever since I turned it on'

'Sir, please' the rep strained, 'if you can just check if the wires are secure, we can narrow down what might be wrong'

He grunted into the phone, setting it down a little too hard on the coffee table and went to inspect his new not-working TV. It was a big 42" flat screen and he had been saving a whole year to buy it. He swept his hand between the TV and the wall, feeling for the wires. They weren't there. Not a single one. The men who had installed the set never plugged it in.

'Is everything alright, Sir?' the rep asked. His voice was coming from inside the TV.
