Chapter 5 - Welcome Home

Our plane finally boarded. I fell asleep on it. Remind me to never sleep on a plane ever again. It was so uncomfortable. The seats are so small. And it's a tight space to sit in. Im just glad its over.

Mum had got a rental care from a rental place untill we bought our own car. We got in the car and drove to our new home. 

We pulled in the drive way. Our house was beautiful. It looks just the same as it did when I was 8. I remember moving out of here. It was really hard on me because I had to leave behind my bedroom and my trampoline. Worst of all I had to leave behind my best friend. I wonder if he still lives near here.

"Honey please grab that last box and bring it inside" I heard my Mum shout to me.

"Okay mum. Will do." I said as I grabbed the box and brought it inside. I was overwhelmed with the inside. It looks way different from what I remember. The kitchen used to be green but now is grey. The Bathroom used to have blue tiles, but was replaced with white tiles. 

Just then I thought. MY ROOM! I ran upstairs and opened the door to my room. It was beautiful. The walls were painted a dark grey. My bed was in the corner next to a window. My bedspread had a yellow flower on it. My favorite color is yellow. I had a desk with a....NEW LAPTOP ON IT! 

I freaked out and sat in the chair that was by the desk. I rolled over to my desk and opend the laptop. It was beautiful. I have always dreamed of having a laptop. It turned on and ! was on it for about 4 hours before I was called back into reality. 

"Adaline! Dinner is ready!" I heard mum shout. 

I closed my laptop and ran downstairs. I was starving. W e were having chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was so good. I savored every last bite. When it was time to go bed, i couldnt help but think. I was thinking about seeing Kian tomorrow. I know he doesnt remember me but atleast i will see him. I fell asleep and i had the dream again.

Adalines Dream (She is only 8 in this)

*RING RING RING* 

"Ill get it Mum" I yelled as i picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Oh Hello Adaline" It was Mrs. Hong , Kians Mum.

"Hello Mrs. Hong, how can I help you?" I asked

"May I speak with your mother?"

"Yea sure." I handed the phone to my mum.

"Hello Mrs. Ho-.....What...b-but how.....Oh dear is okay?" I heard my mum ask. She finally hung up the phone.

"What is it mum?" I asked.

"Sweetheart" She grabbed my shoulders and sat me down. " Kian....He has been in a cat accident."

"WHAT!" I yelled. " NO NO NO NO NO! IS HE OKAY!?" 

"He is in the hospital."

"Well we got to go visit him!"

"Sweetheart thats a 4 hour drive there" Mum said.

"TO bad we got to go see him!" I Yelled as I got in the car.

We drove 4 hours and finally arived at the hospital. I ran inside looking for Mrs. Hong. I could not find her. I asked the lady at the front desk where Kian Hongs room is. She said only family. I lied and told her I was his siter just to get in. She looked me up and down and nodded. 

She led me to his room. She opend the door and there was Mrs. Hong and Mr. Hong. I saw Kian in the bed. I ran up to the bed to see his bloody face. I covered my mouth with my hands and shook my head. He looked pretty banged up if you ask me. Kian started to wake up.

"Kian!" I said as I hugged him. But soon the hug was gone. He pushed me off and said

"Do I know you?"

"Yea im your best friend. Its me Adaline."

"I dont know you. Why are you here?"

"I came to visit you" I said tears starting to form.

"I dont know you. I think I would remeber you. I think you should go" Kian said looking away from me.

I nodded. And walked off. I ran out the door and started crying. Mum ran up to me.

"Addie whats wrong!"

"He doesnt remember me" I said as I hugged her.

Then when she opened her mouth to say something, but all I heard was an alarm sound.

End Of Dream!

Adalines POV

I woke up screaming and trembling. I sat up and started to cry. The alarm sound was my alarm going off saying I have to get up to go to school. I got up and took a shower. 

It was refreshing.
