Chapter 3 - The News

Adaline POV

Me and Jay finally reached the school. We walked in and past the front office. We walked straight to the nurses office. I helped Jay walked because i guess the cut was really bad because he lost alot of blood and was walking funny.

I looked behind myself and all i see is just a trail of blood behind us. Damn I feel worse now that i know he i losing alot of blood. WE reached the nurses office finally.

"Hello Adaline and Ja..... I see. Come with me Jay." The nurse spoke. As her and Jay walked into a tiny room.

I just sat there waiting. School hasnt started. That was good because I didnt have to walk through the halls with a bunch of people who get in my way.

Finally Jay walks out of the room with nurse after like 15 minutes.

"How is he doc?" I asked. I giggled a little and so did Jay.

"Your boyfriend is just fine just a little scratch." The nurse spoke.

"Oh w-we arent d-dating." I said awkwardly.

"Y-yea we are just best friends." Jay said he glanced at me and I glanced back.

He saw me look at him and blushed and turned away. I smirked.

"Oh I apologize for my mistake." The nurse spoke. "Jay your free to go."

"Thanks for patching me up doc."

"No problem." The nurse said as she went back to her work.

Me and Jay walked to our lockers. We got lucky enough to share our locker. Then we headed off to our class, deprating from eachother.

It was lunch time and I was STARVING! After my Chemistry class I ran straight to my locker and grabbed my $20 from my backpack and ran to the lucnhroom. It was already packed with people.

"Damn I need to get here quicker" I thought.

I got in like and got my food. I got a salad and a apple. I looked over to my table where Jay was. I sat next to him and we started chatting.

"So my mum has some news to tell me after school." I spoke

"Yea?"

"Yea. What do you think it could be?" I asked taking a bite of my apple.

"Anything really..." Jay said.

"Yea..." I said as I stuffed my face. The bell rang time for our next class great.

"BRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG"

The sound of the school bell. School is over today. Finally. I saw Jay waiting for me at the bleachers. He was just sitting down on them with his eyes closed. Perfect time to scare him.

I walked behind the bleachers. I quietly got on top of one. I started tip-toeing to him. All of the sudden... "BOO!" I screamed

Jay fell out of his comfortable stance and onto the ground with a "thud"

"Ow!" Jay screamed. "ADALINE YOU ASSHOLE!! YOUR DEAD!"

"You have to catch me first" I yelled while running.

I started running up the street with my skateboard in my hand and my bag in the other. Jay was on my tail. I ran faster. It's hard t run in these heels. All of the sudden I feel arms wrap around my waist and i'm pulled to the ground.

"Ah ha" Jay said.

"Damnit" I yelled.

"Got ya. Now your dead." Jay said while tickling me in my stomach.

I started laughing and crying because it was that bad. He finally stopped. We got up and ran to my house. He went up to my treehouse while I grabbed us a snack.

"Wa la" I said as I pulled out to apples from my bag.

"Wow!" He said sarcastically clapping.

I chucked the apple at him. "Thats what you get asshole, for tickling me to death."

"Ow. Thats going to leave a bruise." Jay cryed while rubbing his arm.

"Yea yea yea. Quit your crying. Lets just start studying." I said rolling my eyes.

We studied for a while then Jay went home. I was sad because I love looking at his face. It's so beautiful the way it shines in the daylight. Snap out of it! Mum called me in to talk about the news.

"Hey sweetheart, how was school" Mum asked sitting on the couch.

I sat next to her. "The same as every other day. So whats up. You got news?" I asked

"Yea. About that. Listen just hear me out. Say your opionins at the end." Mum said nervously.

"Your not having another child right?" I said.

"Haha no silly."

"Then what?"

Mum sighed. "We are moving back to Longmont Colorado."

I sat there with a blank expression on my face.

"..."

"Addie? You there?" Mum asked.

I ran upstairs, slammed my door shut and cryed in my bed. Im moving back to the Hell hole. And to think my Ex-best friend is still there. Kian. Me and him we tight.

Flashback

"Hello class." Mrs. Hall said. "Today we have a new student. Please be nice to him."

A boy popped up from behind her. He was short and shy. He had brown hair and green eyes. He looked really scared from what I could tell. Im only six.

"Have a seat next to.... Adaline."

My heart stopped for a mintue, but then came back to life when he sat down next to me.

"Hey I'm Kian." He said.

"H-hi I'm Adaline."

After that day we spent alot of tiem together. We were best friend untill the very end. Untill one day i had to move. I ran over to Kians house and told him the news. We both cried. We hugged eachtoher and said our goodbyes because I was leaving in an hour.

"Never forget me Addie!" Kian whispered in my ear.

"I wont"
