I groan as I stretch standing up, pushing a very startled Lucky off my lap. I wobble into the kitchen, wondering how people manage to function in the morning without coffee. I start a pot before heading into the bathroom to start my morning routine. I brush my teeth and hair, wash my face, and change into a black tank top and sweat pants (since I plan on shifting today, I don't really need to over dress).
"Alexa, play my workout shuffle!" I yell as I start my round of three hundred push ups. Gotta love werewolf strength right?
After three hundred push ups, sit ups, and jumping jacks, I fill up a water bottle and pack my backpack, that I designed for my wolf, and strip down. After the dull pain that comes with shifting, I let out a small bark to let Lucky know I was leaving. (Yes I fed the dog.) My chocolate brown wolf, Kate, lets out a howl of joy as she bounds through the forest.
My wolf isn't a regular wolf. I am a silver and gold wolf. My fur turns silver and my eyes turn gold, signifying the moon goddess's strength and abilities that she herself, granted me. I know I said my fur was chocolate color, but due the rarity of S & G wolves, I have to keep my true color a secret. If I were to let my silver fur out, it will attract wolves and vampires and nymphs from around the wold. And the Alpha Lucian. Lucians crave power. To have a S & G wolf at your disposal could allow you to take over all super natural species. That would mean all out war between all species. As if the first one didn't kill of enough of them.
I put my nose in the air, sniffing the air, seeing if I can find the sent of a rabbit, or deer. Instead I got a rotten metallic smell.
Blood.
That one word was all I thought as I saw a dead rouge, bones all sticking out in unnatural angles, blood on the trees, and the sent of.. Was that the blood moon pack.
Fear rushed through me. This is supposed to be neutral land. Nobody wants just country land, with only acres of wheat. It's useless to all the packs, much less the blood moon pack.
That's when another smell wafted through my acute senses. My eyes widened and within second I was running as fast as I could, because something was burning. Possibly my home.

No,no,no,no,no. I thought as I sprinted through the woods.I shifted when I was near by, changed in seconds before stepping into the clearing to see my home, and my life burning down.
Three wolves stood in front of my once beautiful home. I knew they were from the blood moon pack. Only one pack taught their soldiers to be as heartless as a rock. Without realizing it, I was now behind the three wolves, snapping their necks in an instant.
I looked at their dead bodies in horror. Taking deep breaths, I struggled to keep my wolf at bay. If she got out the moon goddess would strip us of our powers and send me to my inevitable doom. I closed my eyes for a brief moment before a thought struck me. Lucky is in there.
I broke down the door, not caring about my wounds, only about the ones my poor baby would have. I focus on listening for any sign of life through the smoke and flames.
Bum bum.... Bum bum,... Bum bum.
I nearly cried with joy at the heart beat of my pup. "Lucky!" I called out dashing through the living room.
Tears brimmed my eyes as I saw him out cold under a support beam that fell through the ceiling. Tapping into my wolf strength I lifted the beam with little effort. I scooped luck up before hearing a crack. The spot that was once the entry way to the foyer, was now a pile of flaming rubble.
Crack
that was the only sound I heard before I shielded Lucky with my body, and everything went dark.
