A Broken Friendship
Prologue
I don’t know how to describe Alex and my friendship.
If I had to find one word, I’d struggle.
But right now, I’d call it complicated.
Everyone’s against our friendship.
If I had to tell you why, I’d struggle.
But right now, I’d just blame it on me being a really messed up person.
Alex is also a messed up person.
That’s why our friendship means a lot to us, you see.
When we talk, we forget the problems, we forget ourselves, we forget the past.
Lies. Our friendship revolves around lies.
Why we must lie? Many reasons and it is very, very complicated.
We argue over the simplest things.
I know why and I won’t struggle to tell you- although it is very complicated.
If you want to understand, you’d have to understand me. You’d have to understand him. You’d have to understand our surrounding. You’d have to understand our complicated lives.
Truth is, I can’t understand a thing about this broken friendship.
