We call up Sydney's family. Nobody knows were she is. We look at the message on her phone again, there is no ID. I go to her room (again), The Lake, The Dock, and the rundown shack in the back of the Cottage. Nothin. Man, were could she be?!?! I couldn't believe one of my best friends was missing. I asked Francesca if it had been 48 hours, she replied with a simple nod. I quickly grabbed my cell and dialed 911. I franticly mumbled to the lady on the other end. "....friend...gone...missing..." The lady told me to calm down and that a police officer would be here in less than an hour. ******** About 45 minutes later.... "Ding, Dong" I jump up and run to the door followed by Chess and Sav. We open the door slowly and see a tall, dark haired man in about his mid 30's. He asks alot of questions. When he gets up from the couch I glance at his name tag. I show him to the door and quickly say. " Thank you officer Philips." He takes off his hat and slightly nods his head. I give him a half smile and shut the door. Why am I so worried, I ask myself quietly. I know everything is gonna be ok but still, shes like my sister, there all like my sisters. * It's been two days since Sydney went missng. We have no clue where she is, or what to do. As I slowly open my eyes, I feel cold, I put my hands on my face to rub my eyes. What on earth!!!! My face is wet. First thing that comes to mind is I drooled on my pillow and rubbed my face in it. Then I ever so slightly turn my head to a little fluff ball looking up at me wide eyed. The dog gives a little yip and I reply with a simple "Good morning". I get up and go to the kitchen to find Sav making French toast. I glance at her knowing what she's thinking. At that moment I realize was no call from Officer Philips. So sad, grumpy, little me plops down on the kitchen table chair while waiting for some food. Chess woke up to join us. At breakfast there was no conversation, not even a word. For the next 2 weeks we barely said anything to eachother and spring break went by so fast.
