Hello everyone! :-) Thanks for reading the first chapter, I really appreciate it! So sorry for the suuuuupperrrr duper LATE update- I'll try to update more often now.

Yunhyeong POV

I dove for the other side of the garbage bin the second I saw the first square centimeter of her face. I couldn't stop breathing, like I was drowning in a shark infested ocean. This was the absolute WORST. Terrible timing. Why of all times did Sol decide to step into some dangerous business she shouldn't be caring about in the first place, now?

"Where did he go?" my friends murmured to each other. Oh god, this was going to need a huge explanation.

10 minutes later

I could not believe everything that had just occurred. Han Sol, my best friend who had just transferred here, versus Kim Hanbin? I wanted to slam myself against a wall, and perhaps maybe jump off a goddamn cliff. Great, now it was dangerous for Hanbin to know any more information about Sol so I would have to lie about why I decided to dive headfirst behind a garbage can the second she happened to walk into our lair. Worse, Sol wasn't safe. Things were going to become crazy- and not to mention ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE- if I didn't put a stop to this. I had got to take Sol away from all this and make sure she wasn't interlocked with Hanbin anymore in any way. No, wait. It was dangerous for her to be with any of us. Us.

Me.

For not the first, and probably not the last time either, in my life, I felt eminent regret and utmost shame for the kind of group my friends and I were.

Sol POV

In Korea, you have one set class and a homeroom teacher for the entire school year. And you basically stay in that one classroom while the teachers move around each period. And most importantly, you're stuck with the same exact people for one entire year. Exciting, right? Anyways, after my quite eventful morning (EVENTFUL MY ASS- IT WAS HORRIFYING AND DISGUSTING AND IF I WERE EVER TO HAVE TO RELIVE IT I WOULD SHOVE MYSELF DOWN A HOLE AND NEVER COME OUT FOR ALL ETERNITY) I made it to school. I was also-thankfully- on time!

I hurried to my assigned classroom. The moment I stepped in, I felt a rush of excitement flood my body. Completely new faces, an unfamiliar classroom setup, everybody dressed in uniforms (which I was still hyped up about), and just every single little thing about school in Korea made my heart skip a beat just to even think about. Everybody was still settling in their seats. Most of my classmates were standing around with their friend group or sitting by their friends, chatting. Others were just silently sitting alone, passing time by playing games on their phones or listening to music. Korean teenagers in Korea weren't much different than those I knew back in Cali. I felt a surge of relief as I saw that I wasn't much different than these people. I decided to take a seat by the window in the second to last row. Definitely not up front at all, but still not the last row. Showed some effort on my part, for now.

"No no no. Not there," someone said in a tone with a hint of vulgarity. I turned around to face a girl with a classic see-through bangs haircut and bright lip tint. Like every other girl in Korea.

"Why...?" I questioned.

"You just don't want to sit there. You'll see what I mean." I gave her a look, still confused about why I shouldn't be sitting in this spot, when all of a sudden, her eyes turned wide and she stood up, attempting to pull me away from the seat.

But it was too late. I turned my body around and a tall, intimidating figure towered over me. And it was a familiar one too.

"Five, four, three, two..." he started to count down, as I slowly picked up my backpack and inched away.
