The First two periods finished quickly, Frank had walked me to my next class, Math, which Jason was in. We silently walk to the cafeteria and I think back to this morning, the conversation Leo and Jason where having when I walked out. They look at me... as if I was from another planet.

"Hey... Jason..." I said quietly, which he luckily heard.

"Yeah?" He looks down at me and I look at the ground.

"What where you and Leo talking 'bout this morning...?" I look back at Jason who looked alarmed.

"Um, ugh nothing, we were- we were talking about nothing..." He laughs awkwardly and scratches the back of his head. I glare at him but I drop it. If he wanted me to know he would've told me. We reach the cafeteria and everyone else is already there. Hazel stands up and drags me over to the canteen.

"Hazel-"

"No Nico you promised." She crosses her arms and gives me a stern look. Fuck.

"I um had my fingers crossed?" She rolls her eyes and takes an apple and shoves it in my hands.

"Just eat that... please."I sigh and give in, taking a bite.

"Thank you." She smiles and drags me back to the group. The group are laughing and having a dramatic conversation, which Hazel joins in. I slide onto the seat next to Hazel and nibble on my apple. Leo starts telling a story about his dream where he slayed Pirates and he actually got onto the table to make it, and I quote, "Even dramaticer". Everytime I stop eating my apple Hazel nudges me to continue eating, which I do.

"Oh Nico! Remember how grandma use to tell us about her 'soulmate' Sammy?" Hazel said shaking my arm.

"How can I forget, she talked about him for hours" I took another bite of my apple and slumped in my seat.

"Yeah well, he was Leo's grandad." She said, catching Leo's attention at the sound of his name.

"What? No way!"I exclaimed

"Yes way," Leo but in taking a sip of his coffee, great he'll be bouncing off the walls more than usual, "Pop always went on about 'The curly haired girl who rode the stallion.' Seriously, even though he hadn't seen her for years he was still crazy for her, well until he died that is." Leo said plainly and took another sip of his coffee.

"Why'd they never see each other again?" Hazel asked.

"Dunno, Pop never said why."

"Grandma moved to Alaska that's why, Then Sammy moved to Texas, I don't know it was something along those lines." I shrugged. I had finally finished the apple and I threw the core in a bin about three meters away, over everyones head. bullseye.

"OMG DID YOU SEE THAT KO OUTTA NO WHERE" Leo shouted and stood on the table. The whole looked at Leo in confusion but shrugged it off.

"Leo sit down." I glare at him.

"Okay ghostboy." He winked at me and sat down.

"Don't call me that Valdez." I growled and he put his hands up in defence.

"Sorry Casper, didn't mean to make you angry." I glared at him and he chuckled and winked.

Soon enough the final bell went and I found myself doing my homework at my desk in the dorm room.  Jason had gone on a date with his girlfriend, Piper and Leo had some sort of club to go to.

"Stuff this." I give up on the algebra homework and take out my sketch book. I end up drawing Hazel. When we were little we always used to draw together, maybe if this turns out okay I'll give it to her...
