Squid And Nicole's Love Story

Chapter 24

The boys had been sitting there for half an hour seeing police officers and doctors' race in and out of the room Squid and Nicole were in. Finally, a doctor came over to them.

"What's wrong with them?" Tom asked

"Well it was a pretty bad accident so they have sustained a few injuries. Nicole has whiplash (strain in the neck), a sprained ankle and has a few cuts and bruises" the doctor started

"And my brother?"

"Your brother might have brain damage or concussion so we will have to do a check on that when he wakes up, he also has a slash on his head, sprained his wrist and like Nicole has got many cuts and bruises. We've also put them both in an induced coma"

"Can we please see them?"

"Well..."

"Please, I want to be there when he wakes up, please just let us see them"

"Ok fine" the doctor said and led them into the room.

There were two beds ion the room, Nicole lying on one and Squid on the other. They both had wires attached to them and Squid was on life support. They were both unconscious as the doctor had said. Tom went over to Squid's bed a cried.

"Squid I'm sorry I wasn't there for you and the last thing we said to each other was goodbye and I hope that won't be our last" Tom cried.

Stampy comforted Tom as he went through this; he knew how hard it was. He also knew what it was like to be out of it. You could hear everything that was happening but you just couldn't see it. Stampy walked over to Nicole's bed and kneeled down beside it.

"Nicole, you are a great girlfriend for my mate Squid, he has been the happiest he has ever been whenever he saw you and I know you will look after him. I know what it's like to be unconscious, I have experienced it many times and if you can hear what I am saying, squeeze my hand as hard as you can, even if it hurts just try for me please" Stampy said.

Nicole could hear every word that Stampy was saying and tried to squeeze his hand but couldn't. But being the girl she was, she didn't give up. She tried until she squeezed it slightly and her eyes started to open and she saw Stampy sitting beside her.

"You did it Nicole" Stampy said

"Stampy, wh-what's going on? Where am I?" Nicole asked

"You're in hospital after the car crash you were in with Squid"

"Where is Squid? IS he ok?"

"Shh, it's ok, he's over there but he hasn't woken up yet. Listen, the police to talk to you and ask some questions, I'll bring them in if that's alright?"

"Yeah ok" Nicole said and Stampy went to get Officer Zac.
