Chapter 3

Jennifer's POV
"Mommy this this going to be one of my core memories!"
Marlee says. I remember when we watched inside out in the summer, it instantly became Marlee's favorite movie. I'm just happy she stop singing let it go.

"Marlee remember the rule?" I say in a stern voice. Hey, safety comes first.
Marlee just nods and grabs the bottom of my shirt, gesturing that she wants me to pick her up.

"Can we just meet Robin out there, she's taking forever." Marlee whispers in my ear.
"Okay. Let's ditch them." I say then kiss her forehead, then leave the room. I do didn't actually ditch Robin, I just texted her saying that we left without her.

With Marlee on my hip I make my way to the top deck.
The pool was shinning colorful colors, there was a giant big screen, every character you could imagine, and tons of people.

"Mommy! Is that chocolate!" Marlee says with big eyes as she points to a chocolate fountain.

"Yes that is, wanna get something?" I ask already knowing the answer.
She jumps everywhere in my arms p, like a dog trying to get out of a grasp.

I start piling a plate of strawberries and lightly fizzle them with chocolate.

"I hoped you paid to get that." This blonde girl says coming out of nowhere.
She was wearing a too short sundress with lots of eye makeup.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know." I say trying to put the plate back but she takes it from me.
"You already ate some! Now you have to pay!" She says and people start to stare.

I don't have any money on me and I forgot my room number. God dang it.

I start to think of what I should say and I can feel Marlee staring to get upset, which can't be good for anybody.

"Sweetie, you forgot to pay, don't worry I just did." This stranger says, conning out of nowhere. What's with all the these random strangers?

"Hmm" I say freaked out. The stranger was a boy, looked to be 15-16 with brown hair and green eyes.

He grabs my forearm and leads me away from the table.

"Oh my God take you so much." I say in relief.
"No problem." He says. " I'm Grayson by the way."
He sticks out his arm and I shake it, " I'm Jennifer and this is Marlee."
He starts to tickle her and she laughs and blushes.

"She's adorable." Grayson says.
I turn to Marlee, "what do you say?"
"Thank you." She says then buries her head in my neck, embarrassed.
Grayson and I just laugh.

We continue talking until my phone goes off.
It was just Robin telling me she's here.

"Hey, I got to go. Nice meeting you and thank you for what you did." I say staring the walk away.

"See you around." He says and we walk away in different directions.

3rd person point of view

Gray was so nervous talking to a girl, but he felt proud. He knew that blonde shank and she isn't someone you'll want to mess with.

Even though he just met the girl, he knew she was nice (not to mention pretty) and he knew a 19 year old who is single and needed to mingle.
