I Don't Believe In Heroes

I loved fairy tales as a child.

reading about princes saving princesses,

about princesses saving themselves.

I loved heroes, I wanted to be one.

In stories, men are charm and chivalry

who treated women like treasures.

Now, men look at my body like a museum display,

but they don't treat it like one.

I used to believe in heroes.

I used to believe in someone that could save me.

Now I'm strong, the bigger person.

Now I can finally save myself.

I can't believe in heroes.

Too many innocents are dead.

I believe the only heroes

are hidden inside us, so save yourself.
