Julia Peckett
It's been maybe six months sine I've had any contact with Sean or even my mom. I don't know why but when I left for college. I just didn't really make the effort to talk to them.
At first, I thought it was because maybe I'm jealous of their relationship. But then I met this amazing guy named Taylor. Ever since then I felt like my life was complete like he's the person I've been missing.
I hear a knock on my dorm room. I run over to it opening it, hugging Taylor.
"Hey baby," Taylor says bring in some bag with food in it.
"Aww, you didn't have to do this for me I was going to go shopping."
"Yeah I know but when you do go shopping all you get is junk food. Which is bad for you since you do track and field. Your lucky your body works fast to keep all that fat off of you.
"No one told me that having twizzlers for dinner is bad," I say giggling.
"So you're saying when you were living with your parents they didn't make you eat real food."
"Actually when I was in high school I just ate whatever was the fastest since I would be going to parties and such."
"Are you going to be at the game tomorrow?"He says as he puts away the food.
"Are you kidding me I never ever will miss the end of the season game."
"Well, that's good. Coach gave us new jerseys so I want you to have this one."He reaches in one of the bags and hands me his old football jersey."
"Oh, my god. No, I can't take this it's your good luck charm jersey. You should frame it or something."
"No, I want you to have it. You're my new good luck charm. Sorry, it's big on you."
I laugh."Thanks, this is really thoughtful. No one has ever got me something as big as this." I say hugging him.
Game day
Everyone was in the crowd was pumped we were all sing the college theme song.
It was the last play twenty-five seconds on the clock. Taylor was a quarterback. He was running for. From the fifty yard line to the end zone.
He got hit really hard causing his helmet to come off. I got up starting to run down the bleachers I tried to get on the field but Sammy was holding me back.
"Sammy please let me go."
"No he's going to get up I promise."
"What if he doesn't. What if he got hurt because I'm wearing his lucky jersey."
"You didn't give him bad luck if anything you gave him good luck."
I sob into Sammy's shoulder before I hear someone yell. "He's up."
"Look Jewels he's fine. Well, he's not fine but he's up. I think he broke his leg, though."
I smile to myself." He's okay."
"Of course he's okay. He got you as a good luck charm."
