Drive Byes?

Akame's POV

I groggily opened my eyes and squinted as a stream of sunlight blinded me. Wait, sunlight! I shot out of my bed and opened the curtains to reveal a soft beautiful sunset. If I hurry and I can still get outside and enjoy it, I thought to myself. I quickly brushed my teeth and I didn't even bother to change out of my old soccer jersey and pajama pants as I ran out of my room and quietly made my way to the main hall. I asked one of the servants where the garden was and she showed me where it was. I gasped at how beautiful the garden was once we arrived, "W-will you be needing anything else. M'lady?", the maid hesitantly asked me as I stepped further into the new area. Poor girl, she can't be more than 16 and she has to work for these horrid boys, "No, I'm fine thank you. And please just call me Akame", I said giving her a soft smile. She smiled back before she quickly disappeared back into the mansion.

This place looked like something out of a movie, it's so surreal. The different flowers twinkled in the remaining sunlight and the trees swayed with the light breeze. I followed the small path and was surprised to see a stream and I followed it and found a bridge. Walking onto the bridge I looked over the side and saw large Koy fish swimming about, "Toy, you listen to some pretty good music", I gasped and quickly turned around and saw a smirking Shin looking at me and holding my ipod in one hand. "Shin, I didn't expect you to be awake so early", I replied quietly. "Well, I wanted to see if you would try to escape", he said coolly while walking to stand next to me and leaning against the railing looking out into the stream. "I'm actually relieved to see you still here", he said and gave me a small smile, I returned the smile and turned to look out into the stream once more. A peaceful silence fell between us, "Let's play a game Toy", Shin declared after a few minutes. "What game?", I asked a bit cautiously. "We have to sing the lyrics of one song and the first person to mess up loses. And if you lose you have to answer a question the other person asks, kay?", he said his eye lighting up with a mischievous glint. "Alright you start", I said, a bit excited for this new game.

His smile widened at my enthusiasm, I'm here for you, she said., he sang and I smirked, And we can stay for a while. My boyfriend's gone and we can just pretend. He seemed pleased and continued, "Lips that need no introduction. Now who's the greater sin.", I bit my lip because the next part was hard to remember, You're drive byes seem to invite?, I questioned and he laughed. "It's 'You're drab eyes seem to invite'. So that means you lose", he said triumphantly. "Fine, what's your question?", I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest. "Who is your favorite band?", he said, running a hand through his hair. "Hollywood Undead", I quietly replied. He chuckled, "Y'know Nii-san wouldn't approve of you listening to them. But I do, especially since they're one of my favorites too", he said giving me a lopsided grin. I grinned back and we spent the next hour walking through the garden playing the game and learning a lot about each other. Like how I learned that him and Carla are First Bloods and not regular vampires, his favorite food are nuts, and that he enjoys turning into his wolf form.

"Alright Shin let's see if you can get this one", I said confidently as we walked under a Cherry tree. "How dare you underestimate Toy", he said over dramatically and I giggled before I began. Cuz I, I think of you now and then. The memories never end when, Gravity pulls you in. He smirked, I remember looking back. Converse and a starter cap. Now I'm wishing, wishing that I could just go back. "Ha! You lost it's 'Now I'm sitting, wishing that, wishing that I could just go back'", I said triumphantly twirling around him. "Fine! What's your question Toy?", he pouted and took a seat under the tree and I sat down too. "Shin, if you and Carla are royalty, why would you bother to spend time with me?", I asked looking down. "It is because your blood is stronger than any other that I have tasted. And something of that quality should not be wasted on such impure vampires.", Shin and I both jumped a little and turned to see Carla in front of us, sending a disapproving look in my direction. I turned to look at Shin and realized he was gone.

"Woman get up and head to your room to change immediately. You are not in proper attire to be walking about", he demanded. I sighed and got up to leave, "Why can't you be more like Shin?", I mumbled not thinking that he would hear. I was instantly pulled back to his chest and he teleported us to his room, he grabbed me by the throat and pinned me to wall and lowered his lips to my ear. "Continuing to defy me will result in more pain and discomfort for you. Is this what you want?", he growled and his hand grip tightened on me. "No...I-I just...want...you to....get to...k-know...me", I managed to choke out. And to my surprise he let me go, I didn't hesitate and ran out of the room and to mine and quickly locked the door and began to get dressed.

Carla's POV

Her words continued to echo through my head after she left. She only wishes for me to get to know her, what a waste of time, she's a mere mortal, I thought to myself. But for some unknown reason her words had haunted me and I found myself walking towards my bedroom door to go and talk to her. "Lord Tsukinami, Reiji Sakamaki is here for Miss Akame", one of the servants informed me just before I reached her room. Just then the bedroom door opened and Akame walked out, "Excuse me, can you tell Shin that I say goodbye and hope to talk with him more at school?", she politely asked the servant without so much as glancing in my direction. "O-of course Lady Akame", the servant said and I dismissed her with a wave of my hand.

I turned to look at Akame and realized that she had already left. I walked to the main staircase and watched as Akame left without even sparing me a look.

I growled and called out for Shin. "Yes Nii-san?", I turned and saw him standing just behind me his confident smile irritating me more than ever. "What did you and Akame speak about in the garden?", I demanded. He flinched, "W-we uh-um played a game, and then asked each other questions to get to know each other", he answered nervously, avoiding my gaze. "And how did she seem around you?", I pressed. "She seemed very comfortable and relaxed. W-would you like me to tell you about her, Nii-san?", he asked hopeful. I couldn't help but feel a small pang of jealousy towards him, that left me utterly confused. "No, that will not be necessary", I replied and began to walk towards the garden. If she wants me to get to know her, then she will get just that.
