"Lord listen and have mercy on me! Lord, be my helper!"

- Psalms 30, 10

Naomis POV

What felt like hours but must have only been a few minutes of sleep because it was still almost the same light outside than before or at least it seemed like that. But those few minutes were like a healing potion to me. Joshua wasn't in the tent anymore so I had a few minutes for myself. As I sat there, thinking about me, the situation I was in, god, Joshua and Mickey I realized how less I have known of this world and the people who live on this earth. I wonder how Mickey's doing. I need to know if he's alright. Maybe I could find a way to go to their prison.

I took a glass of water and a small glimpse outside. No one I knew was there. Everyone was working or taking huge parts of wood on their shoulder. Joshua was nowhere to be seen and I wanted to use that moment to look after Mickey before Joshua could come back.

I ran behind the tent to hide and the good thing about the constellation of their tents was that there was only small space between them and because of that I was able to go around the whole camp without beeing seen. As long as I was careful where to step, it should be easy for me to get to Mickey. Or so I hoped.

So I walked along the back of the tents until I reached the end and saw that a few meters away was the entrance to the cells. I quickly ran to it and hide myself again in one of those stone walls. They built the prison into a huge rock. Neither a mountain nor a small hill. Something in between. My adrenalin was pumping the blood in my veins much faster than before and I felt this getting unconsious feeling again. I leaned myself against the wall and as soon as I calmed down a bit I went on. But Istill held my breath sometimes. Strangely there was no security or anything like that.

There was a long hallway out of stone. A bit dirty and wet but I've imagined much worse. On the wall were small torches. Enough to see where you're walking. After a few meters there was a door on the right. But I had no idea where to go so I first put my ear to it and checked if I could hear people talking but there was no sound coming from the other side. As I tried to open it, the door knob made a very loud noise. I quickly released it and looked around if there was someone who could've heard it. But there was no sign of someone coming or watching. I went on till I reached the end of the hallway. It took me a few minutes. During this whole time I had such a weird feeling in my stomach. Something must be wrong. Why are there no guards and no screams from the prisoners? Iwas gad that there were no screaming though.

At the end was a second door which was slightly open. I checked for any noises again and opened the door. It was much the same but finally I've reached the cells. I looked into the first one but there was no prisoner. But in the second one was a man.

"Shht! Hey you! My name is Naomi. Who are you? Do you know why there are no guards? It seems really strange.", I whispered.

He sat on the ground whith his knees pulled to his chest and looked up slowly until his warm but helpless brown eyes looked right into mine.

"My name is Gaden. They told us to stay silet until they return but didn't mention where they're going or what they're doing. Why are you down here?"

"I'm looking for my friend called Michael. Do you know him? He's new so maybe you could tell me where his cell is."

He thought about it for a second and then answered.

"I can remember it slightly. I think they put him in the 7th cell on the left side. You should go back! They could return any moment and if they see you…I don't even want to imagine what they could do to a woman like you. You better meet your friend quick and short."
