The weekend passed quicky and it was already monday morning. I was walking to my first class. It was physics. I was quite excited because I know Jace will be there. I didn’t talk with him the whole weekend. I wasn’t in the mood of talking with anybody and I have a pile of study. I sat on my usual desk. The teacher hasn’t arrived yet and there weren’t many students either. I think I’ve arrived quite early. After few minutes students came rushing into the class. However Jace hasn’t arrived yet. The teacher walked in and I felt quite disappointed that he didn’t arrive. I wondered why hadn’t he attend class. Was he ill or something?

“Maybe he’s just avoiding you.” The voice in my head said. But why would he do this, it wasn't not like he was mad at me the last time I saw him. Or maybe he was mad at me for ruining our date. I know it wasn’t my fault, but still I demanded to go home then. I shook my head trying to empty it from those thoughts. Maybe it’s just he was late for class or something.

The sound of the bell woke me up from my thoughts and I started to head for my next class. Another hour passed in a blur and I was heading to the cafeteria when Rose almost bumped into me in the corridor.

“Oh hi.” She said grinning sheepishly.

“Hey, what’s up?” I said raising an eyebrow.

“You forgot, didn’t you?” She said with a desappinted voice.

“Nope I didn’t, I know your date is today, silly.” I said grinning at her. She grinned back at me. Rose seemed really excited about the date. I really think she liked the guy.

“But uuh there’s something, Zac just asked me If I’d like him to take me home after school. I know I’m supposed to be your ride today so it’s okay I’ll just tell him that..”

“Rose” I stopped her. “It’s okay, chill.” I chuckeled. "You can go with him. I’ll tell my mom to take me home or somrthing.”

“Really, it’s okay?” Rose said, her eyes shining up a bit.

“Yeah silly.” I chuckeled.

“You know, text Jace or something, I know he’ll be glad to be your ride.” She winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

“Really Rose? Anyways he didn’t come to school today.” I said not able to hide the bit disappointment in my voice.

“What? No, I just saw him, maybe he has just arrived or something.”

“Oh well.” I said a bit surprised. “However I can’t ask him, Rose. It’ll be too embarrassing.”

“Nah, it won't and by the way if you’re not goint to text him now I’m going to give him a little hint that his lovely Jessica needs a ride home.” She said smirking.

“No you won’t." I said with wide eyes.

“That's not true because I think I will.” She said grabbing her cell phone out and began typing.

“Okay okay I’ll just tell him when I see him today." I said knowing how stubborn Rose is.

“No, now!” She insisted.

“Rose, you’re such a child.” I rolled my eyes.

“I’m waiting.” She said still smirking.

“Oh god!” I said as I grabbed my cell phone out of my pocket. “How the hell am I going to ask him?” I said feeling annoyed.

“Is it that difficult?” She said rolling her eyes at me.

“You're a bitch.” I said as I typed him a text.
