"Hey sweetie, have you finished yet " My mum said as she was still knocking the door, I can see her usual enthusiasm to see my new party dress.
" Yeah mom, come on " I shouted , as soon as i finished my word the door burst open.
" Aww That's so cute honey" Mum said putting her hands on her mouth. I love my mum, She's the exact example of the warm, loving, sweet hearted mother, Since i was a child I used to be very close to my mum.I realised that i haven't answered my mum yet so i gave her a big hug " Thanks mum, I love you " I said as i kissed my mum.
" I love you too honey I'll leave you so you can finish you makeup" My mum said as she left and closed the door.
Okay, My name is Jessy Stewart & I can define myself as the shy new girl in the town school who isn't able to socialize with too many people. I think i have many friends but to be honest i think I don't have many close friends. In fact i only have one and i think she's a special one, Her name is Rose George , She's a really good friend & she's always there for me. I think she's the clear opposite of myself as she's one of the most popular school cheerleaders who knows nearly all the girls and boys in the school.
Today is the school summer dance and well all school couples will be there. In fact i don't have a boyfriend and i didn't once have one except for a few dates in my old school. I didn't want to go to this party but Rose insisted that i would go with her . And you don't know Rose , when she insists on somthing no power on Earth would make her back on her decision. She would come to accompany me after nearly twenty minutes. What i'm really glad for that nobody will recognise me as all the guys in the dance will be wearing masks.
I haven't yet put any make up on, i sat in front of my big heart-shaped mirror, I looked down to my tiny sleevless V- neck silver dress that doesn't reveal too much of my chest , However it reveals most of my back . The dress fitted my body shape & i think I look really cute. My hair was short and framed my face.
I heard my mobilephone beeping on my bed and Rose's name flashed on the screen. " Hi Rose, Have you arrived yet?"
" No not yet i'll be infront of your house in five minutes. I called to make sure u have already dressed"
"Don't worry, I've finished'
" Alright Jess, see ya"
"Bye" I put my phone in the silver purse that was quite matching the dress i'm wearing. I took a qick glance at myself in the mirror, grabbed my mask and went downstairs. I heard a car horn so I knew it was Rose. I gave mum a kiss, took my keys and went to meet Rose.
" Hi Rose" I said as i closed the car door. Rose was wering a short pink dress that fits her body in a sexy way.
"Hi Jess, You look great" She said as she smiled with admiration.
" Thanks, You too " I smiled back. I was still nervous about the party as I was not a very social person.
I think Rose read my mind as she put her hand over mine and said " Jessy, don't worry there're no montsers that will bite you there" She said sarcastically as she focused on the road.
" Rose i'm not afraid . um just nervous" i said pretending to be hurt. Rose was quite the opposite of me, She was a VERY social person, she had too many friends but i think i was her only close friend. Honestly she was a very good and kind person,
"Jess, Wear your mask we're about to arrive." I felt the nervousness rising slowly in my throat and i tried to ignore it. I put my black pierced mask on and went out of the car.
We entered the hotel and waited for the elevator. We entered and Rose pressed the floor number.
we were a few steps away from the dance hall and i could see guys holdin their glasses and probably drunk. I held my little purse tightly as we entered the dance hall. There were probably hudreds of teenagers whom i didn't recognise. I wasn't a social type of person and actually the masks weren't helping.
"Enjoy, little Jess" Rose's voice brought me back to Earth, I glanced at her & she was already holding her first alcohol glass.
" Rose, Don't say that you'll leave me" I gave her a look, I know I don't have the right to keep her beside me but I've told her before that I didn't want to come.
" Jess babe, Don't be like this I'll dance only not go to another planet" She gave me a friendly smile and I smiled back.
" Ok Rose, Go ahead"
I watched her as she was starting to get into the mood as she was already giggling and dancing with a blonde haired boy. She' really quick. I moved my eyes from her to the other side of the hall. My eyes fell on a tall black haired boy wearing a black suit that matched his hair well, However i couldn;t see his eyes because of the shiny black mask hiding them. He was itting alone and seemed to be in deep thought. I remembered that I was probably staring at him so i quickly looked away as i slapped myself mentally.
Suddenly I felt uncomfortable and I found him staring at me back with a wierd expression plastered on his face. I felt puzzled and I tried to think of something else. I searched the room for Rose but I didn't find her, I think she might get along with the blonde guy. I scanned the room with my eyes in an attempt to find anything interesting but there was nothing but couples drinking and making out.
"Take this" A near harsh manly voice said and i jumped back in fear, He was the same black haired guy , In his hands was a piece of paper, Before i could recognise what was happening he put the paper in my hand and walked quickly away, he went out of the hall and i think he had left already.
I looked at the folded paper in my hand and started to unfold it feeling weird of the whole situation but what shocked me more were the words I read inside. The sentence didn't make sense to me and immediatley I have million of questions in my head but the most important two were:
-Who was this guy?
-What the hell did this freeking sentence mean?
I looked back at the paper and started to read it again aloud
" YOU'LL NOT GET ALONG WITH IT"
