Day 3 June 12

I woke up and went go to Hill Berry Park because Mason said he went there every morning so I wanted to meet up with him again.  He was not there sadly.  I jogged back to my house but before I got there I saw his blue convertible driving up he stopped the car and said

“Hey Jess, want to go for a ride?”

“Sure.” I said, “Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise” He said with a grin.

I then decided to call my mom and say that Ella and I were going to the mall so I will be a while.  As we drove I noticed the clouds start to get a little greyer and before I knew it started raining buckets.  I still have no clue where going but Mason would not tell me no matter how much I begged.  I saw a streak of lightning brighten up the sky just as we made a turn onto the side of the road.

“Where are we?” I asked for what must have been the 50th time.

“You will know soon enough.” He said as he smirked.

We walked through a thin path overgrown with shrubs and plants the rain was still pouring overhead and it had to be for a good 10 minutes, and that’s when I saw it.  We were at the beach.

“What beach is this?” I questioned, I’ve been to a lot of the beached anywhere near me and I have never even seen this.

“I really don’t know my grandpa always used to take me here when I was little, as far as I know nobody really knows about it.”

He sat down on the already saturated ground and patted next to him, “Sit down.”

I plopped down my jean shorts already soaked up the water like a sponge.

“I love a summer storm.” He stated.

“Especially on a beach.” I added.  “Wow “I pointed as a huge lightning bolt that seemed to pierce the ocean.

“Thumb wrestle?” He asked with a smile.

            “Ehh…sure.”

“Ok so the winner gets to ask the loser a question and they have to answer completely honest.  You did say you get to know the person in 100 days.” He stated.

“One, Two, Three, Four I declare a thumb war…” He pinned me down in a matter of seconds I would really have to work for this.

“Ok first question…Why did you ask me out?”

“You seem so nice and normal and yeah.” I answered

We thumb wrestled he won again, “So do you like me?”

“That reminds me one of  the “rules” is that you can’t say I like you or I love you till after the 100 days are up so I know I’m amazing but you will have to wait…”I grinned “ I’m just kidding.”

“You are pretty amazing but I think it will be harder for you to resist cause of my manly charm!” he grinned.

I busted out laughing; I couldn’t help it “Manly charm?  ”I questioned then laughed again.

“Ok, Ok back to the game.”

I won!  “So my question is what do you think about me?”

He looked out into the ocean for a second, and then back at me, “I always thought you were pretty and nicer than all the other girls in our history class, I love your eyes, and I was really happy when you asked me out.  I never expected you to though cause we barley ever talked.”

“Thanks.” I smiled.  “Am I even pretty with my hair drenched?” I laughed.

            “Especially now.” He stated.

I lost the next thumb wrestle.  “What’s your favorite band?” He asked.

“I have a few but my favorite would be either We the Kings, Mayday Parade, or The Summerset.”

We went a few more rounds of that I found out his favorite color is blue, he wants to be a baseball player when he’s older, his first kiss was in the 7tth grade with this girl names Addie, he loved rock and rap, and he wants to get a beach house when he is older.  The rain began to stop right when we planned to leave we drove back with the roof down and blasting music.  He dropped me off at home and gave me a quick hug.

Right when I walked in, “Who was driving you?!  I thought you were going to the mall with Ella?”

I stammered “Well I was but then she couldn’t go so I just hung out with Mason…”

She looked at me and glared, “Mason?  Mason Stedman?”

“Um…yeah.”  I stated

“I don’t want you seeing that boy.”  Mom declared.

“But, why you have let me date other guys before why not him…?”

“Because I said so Jessica.  Now go to your room.”

I ran upstairs and slammed the door.  She cannot decide who I date and who I hang out with, I really think I like him!  I blasted Bullet for my Valentine cause it was a scream-o song, and then eventually went to sleep.
