Riley's pov
*2 weeks later*

"Happy October 3!" Hannah crept up behind me.

"Oh god you scared me!" I playfully slapped her on the arm.

"Riley, you only have 2 days before you move she said. Her smile fading.

"I know Hannah" I also pouted. "But you know this could be good for me. Of corse I'm going to miss you a ton, but maybe I won't get bullied over at Australia." I always try to look at the positive side.

"Can I come with you?!" She jokingly suggested

"Hannah, I'd do anything to be able to make that happen." I smiled as I closed my locker.

"Ugh. Do you want to stay over one last night?" She asked

"Yes of course."I assured her.

As always, we walked to first period together. 1st period was okay we didn't do much. Mr. Rodriguez didn't feel like doing anything on a Wednesday. This was good though. Me and Hannah just talked about random topics and fantasized about my life in Australia.

"Watch. Your gonna get yourself a hot Australian boyfriend. And he's gonna have the most perfect tan and the most beautiful accent. And he better treat you right I will literally fly myself to Australia to personally slap him." I laughed at her predictions

"I highly doubt that will happen" I said in response

"Okay Riles, you'll see" Riles is my nickname. But maybe Hannah's right. It's not impossible.

Soon the bell rang and I was off to 2nd period.

2nd period was alright. Besides that fact that Brian and I almost set the school on fire. He was a kind guy, but I've come to realize he's not my type. He's a jock. He's into football and sports and stuff I had no clue about. I'm more into music and art.

English was bad. We had to write an essay about his rules and what they mean to us. Like.. Okay I'm not 5. But that's that.

Before 4th Hannah and I met in our usual spot and enjoyed lunch.

"Which city are you moving to?" Hannah asked

"Sydney." I said.

"I heard the place has a nice beachy vibe. I was kind of excited to be honest" I told Hannah. I just wish She could come along!

"Oh." She said and took another bite of her sandwich. I could tell she was sad. This made me sad.

"But of course we'll come back to visit. We have family here as well."

"Yea that's true" she looked up again.

For the rest of lunch we sat in silence. Not an awkward silence, but a comfortable one.

4th was good. I liked French its, interesting. Learning a new language. I don't know I just like it.

Art was also good, but I wish I could've stayed one more day. She gave us a homework assignment that I would've really enjoyed, but obviously i wouldn't be able to turn it in. Ugh. I'm gonna miss it here. The only part I wont miss is clearly Meagan. Can't wait to get out of that hell hole.

Last was trigonometry. Best way to end the day! Not. I hate math. But I think it's safe to say everyone does.

The last bell rang. I exited the room with Hannah. We were talking about my future boyfriend once again when Meagan jumped in front of us.

"Aw! Look at who it is guys!" She indirectly spoke to her friends

"Hey are you guys like, dating?!" I'm so glad I'm leaving.

"Oh my gosh Meagan your so immature! Look, I'm moving and I won't ever see you again. Just leave me alone. Damn I never did anything wrong to you to begin with." I finally snapped. Hannah and I walked around her while she stood there dumbfounded. Hannah high-fived me as we walked over to her car. We just heard heels clicking in the background with scoffs coming out of Meagan's mouth. Of course her followers does the same. They sounded like a group of birds.

We arrived at Hannah's home. She pulled out her keys and shoved it into the lock.

"hello?" Hannah yelled

"Looks like no ones home" she turned to face me.

"Good. Then let's blast some green day while I raid the shit out of your fridge!" I shouted.

"You read my mind!" She let out a small laugh while plugging her phone into the speakers.

The rest of the night was so much fun it only made me realize how much I'm gonna miss all of this. I guess she saw the sadness in my face because she spoke up.

"Hey, I know how you feel right now because I feel the same way." She patted my shoulder. Tears formed in my eyes. I tried to keep them in, but they spilled out like little waterfalls. Hannah seemed to to the same. We hugged each other for a little while. When we pulled away we just chuckled at each other wiping our tears.

"We're so lame" I giggled
