I was ready for my brand new school. I wore a nice pink dress with white mini flowers around the side and one big one on my left hip. My thick brown hair was curled and shiny by the hair spray that was sprayed in it. I wore sandals brown as chocolate.

I had my head held up high with confidence with nothing wrong. I was going to make brand new friends and hopefully they'll like me.

I opened the doors of the building and walked down the narrow hallway of the school. The hallway lights were so bright I thought they would ignite.

I heard some giggles and chuckles, but they aren't laughing at me. They shouldn't.

I got my schedule from the front office and made my way to my silver-painted locker. As I opened the door, I felt a strong force on my hand push it back.

I look to my left and see a prissy looking girl with a nasty glare staring at me.

"Wait till I'm getting my stuff newbie! I don't want your geekiness in the way." She sneered.

I was frozen with shock and fear. This is how my reputation will be?

After "Mrs. Prissy" was done, I walked to my math class, but I didn't even make it halfway until a bunch of jocks booked me and all my papers and pencils fell.

They all laughed and gave high fives to one another. I saw that prissy girl laughing with her companions laughing; at me.

The whole school was focused on me. I hated that type of interaction. I felt tears peak at the end of my eyes and ran off to somewhere I've never been.

It was gray and misty outside. Dew drops were shined on the grass. I ran so far I think I made to the football stadium.  I ran under the bleachers and then tripped on a huge stone.

I fell and rolled on various amounts of stones I cannot count and landed on the cool pavement. I cried in sorrow and pain.

Suddenly I heard footsteps. I immediately stopped crying and feared it were more kids looking to pick on me. I buried my head in my legs until the footsteps stopped.

I heard a dreadful sigh. I looked up and I couldn't comprehend what I saw.

Kids in dark clothes with dark make up and dark; everything.

I got extremely scared as I realized what they were.

Goths

I backed up in fear as I thought they were gonna hurt me. But a girl reached her hand out.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you. We'll accept you." She said with a small smile.

I reached for her hand hesitantly and smiled.

Let's that say that day things had changed.....

Forever.
