Chapter 16

The clear rain kept falling down at Teal Lake.
It bothered everybody, even Jackson. Well for now, they didn't need to mind the coolness of the rain.
They have each other's bodies to keep them warm and protected.

The birds kept chirping and wood peckers pecking forcefully into the trees.
Awhile ago, Hazel and Jackson experienced the meaning of true love.
The pain didn't even matter. It was just blocked off by admire.

They both fell asleep on the boulder in the forest. They're deep in the forest and hunting wasn't aloud which was good.

Hazel nuzzled her blushed face into Jackson's pale built chest. For the first time after he gave her the Edgar Allan Poe book, she actually felt happiness and joy.

Suddenly, Hazel's phone began to buzz in her jacket, making Hazel wake up and Jackson groan a little.
Hazel giggled, "tired much?"
Jackson opened his eyes and just stared at Hazel annoyed, making her giggle again.

She took her phone out and read the contact name.

1 missed call from Roselyn

She texted her back apologizing why she couldn't get back. Well, she exaggerated a bit.

After she sent it, Roselyn immediately called her. Hazel picked up wondering why she couldn't just text back.

"Hey what's up?"
"HAZEL!! Where's your boyfriend Jackson???"
"Why? What's wrong?"
"It's Bruce. He's gone insane!! He's gonna-"

"Hello there Hazel." A voice said in a mocking tone.

Jackson immediately sprung up and got his jeans back on.
Hazel looked at him confused.
"What? I don't want anyone to see my winkie!" Jackson laughed.

Hazel already had her clothes on so she was fine.
"Whose out there?" She said a little frightened.
"I don't mean harm to you Hazel, only to the emo."

Jackson's eyes became wide eyed.
"Excuse me? I heard emo." He questioned.
"Really who is this?" Hazel said already getting annoyed.

Suddenly, the bushed rumbled and re leaves crunched.

"It's Brucey."

With that, Jackson screamed in pain.
Hazel snapped her head towards her boyfriend to find him fallen to the ground.

With three scratches.

"Pay back time dip shit." Bruce said like a taunting evil villain.
"BRUCE!!!!!" Hazel screamed and ran towards Jackson.
Blood was pouting out of him. He didn't have time to get his shirt on.
Hazel began to cry as she looked up with Bruce with a his switch blade that Avery got him for when she was still alive.

"That's what you get for killing my sister." He whispered as he started walking towards the wounded boy.
"Bruce!!! Stop!!!! This isn't the way!!!!" Hazel began to scream.
"Yes it is Hazel, you see, I hate him. And now he's got you under his ways. So now I'm gonna have to kill you."

Hazel squeezed her eyes shut and buried her head in shoulder.
"I love you forever." Hazel whispered frantically in Jackson's ear, making his spine shiver.

Suddenly, they heard a gun shot and a body drop to the ground.
Jackson and Hazel turned their heads to see.

"Oh....my....God." Jackson said getting ready to pass out.

There laid Bruce's body. Dead.
And there holding the gun was no other than..........

     "Melissa??!!"
