When she awoke, she looked around and saw a vast bedroom filled with dark. Literally everything consisted of a dark color. Not even the walls held a light color. Those too were a dark color. Midnight blue to be exact. How did she know this? Well, what could she say? She liked to paint--a lot.

One weird thing was the way the room smelt. It made her head hurt just thinking about it. Somehow it smelled sweet and sour at the same time if that makes sense. Like something from a forest or jungle. Not inside someone's room. The more she thought about the more her phrase, "this guy is so sketchy" fell into place.

Who even smells like this anyways? She thought.

As she looked down, she saw she was sitting on a king-sized bed with a headboard that had to be at least a foot tall, carved with intricate designs. Leaning closer showed what looked to be wolves and something else she couldn't describe. They looked like humans but she somehow knew they weren't.

The comforter was black, of course, and the pillows were super soft and fluffy. When she looked down at herself she was relieved to see she had the same clothes on. Well, at least she could check that off her things to do before she dies.

The rest of the room consisted of a few chairs, a sofa, and a room that looked to be leading to a library. To say that was not what she was expecting would be an understatement.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps coming halted her 'looking around the room' scheme. She quietly got up off the bed and went directly behind the door. As soon as she heard the feet stop outside the door, she threw it open, only to be greeted by the face of her nightmares. Her body apparently couldn't take the emotion she was feeling and she soon felt herself slipping into unconsciousness.

Two days later

Misty couldn't take it anymore. She'd had to deal with this for two days already and he was starting to get on her nerves.

"Stop it!" She screamed in annoyance.

He only smirked in response, which just resulted in making her angrier. She tried to squirm away but that only resulted in him tightening his hold on her.

"Ugh, why does he have to be so complicated? Why can't he just let me go?" she thought.

Using all of her strength, she pushed out of his hold and started running towards the door.

Grabbing the doorknob, she thought, "Hey, that was really eas--" only to be cut off in her thinking by someone grabbing her around the waist and pressing her against the wall.

"Not so fast belle, where do you think you're going?"

Only for her to reply with, "Uh, for a run?"

"Fine, but you are not going alone. Someone will be watching you the whole time. So don't even think about running away. You won't win."

Okay, now she was scared. Not only did he have a bipolar personality, he also seemed to be different than...shall we say, other humans. She never saw him eat and he seemed to always know what she felt, and maybe that was her own fault, but yet he was always around her. The only time she could ever not find someone watching her was when she went outside around noon. Any other time, someone would appear at the door so quickly (she hadn't even known where they'd come from), and tell her she wasn't allowed outside.

Being her clumsy self, she didn't realise where she was going and walked straight into a tree and landed on her butt.

"Great, " she muttered, "now I'm going to have a bruise."

"I can kiss it better for you." She started from the voice and looked to see where it was coming from but couldn't see anyone.

Wait, she knew that voice.

"Felix?" She whispered.

As he walked out of the trees she couldn't help but start crying and she hated it. She hated being so weak but her body never cared what she thought.

"Oh, no. Don't cry baby. I've got you now. No one's going to hurt you anymore."

As he held her in his arms she couldn't help but be happy. No longer with those creepy guys, she was just happy to finally be in Felix's arms again.

"I'm so--happy--you're here, " she said between hiccups.

"Let's get you out of here before they realise you're gone. You can tell me everything that's happened when we get to my house."

Just as he was about to put her in his car, someone stepped out of the woods. None other than Sykear and his men. Felix told her to get in the car and he would talk to them. From the way his voice sounded, it seemed like there would be no talking involved.

She didn't think about how she could hear them so clearly until later, when he did something that made her trust in him shake like jello.

As they talked she listened in, not realising they already knew she could hear them.

"Look who it is. The one-and-only Felix Aitken. Son of Hedelius Aitkin."

Hedelius? Isn't that--no. He c-can't be.

She broke down. She couldn't deal with it anymore. Everyone she thought she knew--she didn't. What could she believe? Who could she believe?
