Sweat broke out on my forehead and arms as I tried to struggle out of the shackles on my wrists. "You're an evil bastard, you know that?" I questioned fiercely, my pride still intact, enough so that I didn't beg for mercy, as he probably expected me to. He just smiled, the eyes I once thought were beautiful now gleaming with evil. He ran one hand along the whip held in his other. I closed my eyes and grit my teeth as I felt the sharp pain for the hundredth time, trying not to scream as more gashes were added to my old ones. Every day I endured this pain, and every day my strength was ebbing away along with my hope. My eyes burned as the whip slashed at them. I hesitantly opened my eyes and finally screamed. I was blind.
