I walked into the bunker, walking down the steps to see Sam researching in the library. "Hey."

Sam looked up. "Hey, gone girl. Look who actually showed up."

I sighed, smirking, knowing he wasn't being entirely serious. "Sam, you know I only stayed away to try to keep you safe. To keep the Angels away." I stepped further into the library. "But it feels good to be needed."

Sam smirked in amusement. "So, where'd you go off to?"

I smiled, showing him the key ring around my finger. "Got my car back." Sam chuckled in amusement, looking away. "What? Got kidnapped by Angels, and they didn't even let me take my car. I had to go back for it before somebody else took it." Sam looked at me, smirking. I sat on the table next to him. "And I never knew that an Angel could be this protective and possessive over a car."

"Yeah, well, you also didn't know when the Angels were expelled from Heaven, every single one's ability to zap anywhere in the world would be taken away," Sam replied.

I smirked. "We need to continue your healing. We're almost done."

I put two fingers to Sam's forehead, starting to heal him, sensing something inside of him, a little concerned.

Sam noticed. "What?"

I took my hand away, turning away. "Nothing."

Sam stood, catching my arm to stop me. "You're a terrible liar." I turned to him, tilting my head in acknowledgement. "Ava, what's wrong?"

"I noticed something," I answered. "It's, uh... it's resonating inside you."

"What?" Sam asked.

"Something Angelic," I answered.

"Okay, uh, what does that mean?" Sam asked.

"Maybe we should call Dean," I told him.

Sam stepped away, sitting back down. "No. He wanted to go, and he's gone. We'll handle this."

I sighed.

Sam and I were doing more research.

"I've found, well, something," I told him. "It's a detail about when Angels leave their vessels. I think. It's, uh, Enochian, which can be a bit flowery. 'And the departed shall remain, and the remains shall be departed.'"

"Okay, so, when an Angel leaves a vessel, they leave behind a piece of themselves?" Sam asked. "Like, uh, like an Angelic fingerprint."

"Whatever you want to call it, this piece of the departed contains Grace," I told him.

"Wait," Sam told me. "You're saying there's Angelic Grace inside of me?"

"Yes," I answered. "But it's fading each time I heal you."

"Okay," Sam told me. "Is that good or bad?"

"Well, it's harmless," I answered. "But the Grace itself... might be helpful." I set don the book, picking up a file tilted 'On the Inner Workings of Angels'. "According to this, we may be able to use the Grace that remains inside you to track Gadreel... if we can extract it."

"How would we do that?" Sam asked.

"Well, painfully," I answered, holding up a picture of a huge syringe with a 4-inch long needle. "The Men of Letters believed that you could perform a tracking spell with extracted Grace, but they were never able to test the theory."
