Sam and I were sitting at a table with an older, balding man with glasses. We were all holding hands.

The lights flickered.

The table shook.

The candles flared up.

The man was chanting. "Amate spiritus obscure, te quaerimus. Te oramus, nobiscum colloquere, apud nos circita."

"Bobby?" Sam asked. "Bobby, can you hear me? Bobby, we need your help."

We heard Bobby Singer's voice. "Sam?"

I met up with Sam at the side of the road, standing by my car.

"Thanks for coming, Ava," Sam told me.

"Of course," I told him. "Where're Dean and Cas?"

"They're together, somewhere," Sam answered. "This is about Dean."

"Is he..." I asked.

"He's getting worse," Sam answered. "Ava, we've gone through every other option possible. We got to talk about--"

I closed my eyes, shaking my head. "Don't say it."

"Do you think I was this?" Sam asked. "I'm not a fan of it, either. But if we want to get rid of the Mark... I'm just saying. Charlie's gone radio silent, everything else we've tried has been a dead end. So..."

I sighed, giving in. "So I'll drive."

After dark, Sam and I walked toward the playground and the doorway to Heaven.

There was a guard. "That's far enough, Octavia."

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"I have orders," the guard told me. "You aren't allowed upstairs."

"Says who?" Sam asked.

"Hold, please," the guard told us.

The Angel currently in the vessel leaving, while the door opened a crack, and another Angel Grace came out, entering the man's vessel.

The Angel looked at me. "Hello, Octavia."

I recognized the Angel in the man's vessel. "Hannah."

"I swore I'd never occupy another vessel, but..." Hannah trailed off. "We need to have this conversation face-to-face."

"What conversation?" I asked.

"What do you want in Heaven?" Hannah asked.

"Metatron," I answered.

"Why?" Hannah asked. "Is this about Castiel's Grace? Is he okay?"

"He's fine for now, but he's in danger," I told her. "He needs his Grace back."

"But this is also about my brother," Sam told her.

"Because you think Metatron still has Castiel's Grace and that he might have information about the Mark of Cain?" Hannah asked.

"No, we know he does," I told her.

"So he says," Hannah told us. "But Metatron lies."

"Hannah, we just want to talk with him," Sam told her.
