Chapter 5: Cooking

A few days passed, you have been visiting a few places in Germany, and it was your 5th day of the stay. All the days, you came back before it got dark, to avoid any possible attacks, or at least lowering the chance.

It was the morning and you woke up at around 6am. Unable to fall back asleep, you went downstairs and decided to make something for breakfast.

~

Some time later, Germany woke up to the smell of burning food. Concerned, he quickly got up and ran downstairs only to see you in the kitchen, 'cooking'.

You were coughing and the kitchen which was was filled with smoke. Germany quickly ran up to you and yelled at you, "what the hell are you doing?! Get out from here."

He pushed you out of the kitchen and opened the window, fanning out the kitchen with a towel.

Italy and Japan came downstairs to all the commotion and also started coughing from the smoke.

"What happened here?" Japan asked, worried.

"I tried cooking!" You coughed more, "but it didn't end well..."

Most the smoke was gone, and Germany left the window open. He came back, pretty mad, "what the hell were you cooking?!"

You looked down at the ground, "I tried making some breakfast.. But I don't usually cook so like I said, it didn't end well.."

"Wow, this reminds me of when England was allowed to cook once." Italy chimed in.

Germany let out a loud sigh and walked past the three of you, who were standing in the living room.

You laughed nervously, "heh.. I'm sorry."

Japan went to drink some coffee, after the kitchen was ok, and Italy went back to sleep. You stayed downstairs, while Germany made breakfast. The whole time, you were looking at your hands, on your lap.

~

After breakfast, you washed up, to make up for earlier. You then went to get ready, and you headed out to look around a bit more.

Germany gave you a map, in case you got lost again. While walking around, you kept thinking if you're just a burden to them. You shrugged the thought off, knowing that you'll be leaving in 2 days. They can survive 2 more days, right?

You occasionally took a picture or two, as you walked past. It was a pretty day, just like most the time of your stay. There was only one day when it rained, but you took an umbrella and went out anyways.

After about an hour or two of aimlessly walking around, it was time to head back. Your legs were hurt in a bit, and you were starving. You headed home, without a trouble this time.

As you entered the house, the smell of pasta hit your nose, along with tomato sauce. You smiled and went to the kitchen. You saw Italy cooking pasta, and Germany reading a book at the table. Japan wasn't there.

You took a seat next to Germany. It was a bit like a seating plan. Germany sat by the wall, you next to him, then opposite you was Japan, and next to him, by the wall, was Italy.

Germany put the book down, "have you had fun?"

"Yea, I took a few nice pictures." you said, proudly.

"That's great, at least you're using the time wisely." he said, then Italy it the plates down. All 3 of you began eating, but Japan hadn't come yet.

Out of curiosity you asked, "where's Japan?"

Germany sighed before answering, "he's watching anime. Today he's having a special day, where he just sits down in his room and watches anime all day. He has one of those days every now and then, about once a month."

You giggled, "wow, that sounds fun."

"Yea, I've never really gotten the idea of anime.." Germany said, then took all 3, empty, plates to the sink and washed them.

"I'll be going to a shop later on today, want to come?" Germany asked.

You shrugged, "eh, sure, why not"

~

You finished the book you were reading and it was about 6:30pm. You knocked on Germany's door. After you heard a "come in" you opened the door.

"Umm, it's getting a bit late, and you said you'll be going to the shop today." you said.

"Ahh, yes. Shall we go now then?" He suggested, taking off his glasses and putting a book down. You hummed a response, and left.

You went downstairs and put a light coat on. It was late, and the sun was nearly going down, so it would be getting cold.

Germany joined you, and you walked out after telling Italy. He just replied, "ok!" And you were off.

~

It was awfully empty at the shop, and there weren't many houses around it. Just a road, and a street light, and the shop.

Before entering the shop you stayed outside for a second. You told Germany to go ahead, and he did so, reluctantly. You had to reassure him what you'll be ok.

You stayed out for a second more as you just wanted to take a few pictures of the sky, which was looked beautifully from just next to the shop.

You took the picture and quickly made your way to the shop. Before you entered the shop, you heard someone behind you, "excuse me?"
