Briceida's POV:

I sigh as I close my eyes taking a deep breath in, after all coming up in a box to a Glade full of boys with no memories whatsoever was a little overwhelming.

"Hey Greenie!" I hear a voice greet me.

Curiously I open my eyes to see a rather attractive boy with slightly dishevelled short brown hair and sky blue eyes, "Yes?"

"Just wanted to introduce myself sweetie." He says smiling taking a seat down next to me on the grass.

I blink a few times, "Sweetie? Is that some form of name?" I ask tilting my head to the side curiously.

The boy laughs, "No. It's just a nickname." He says with an amused smile on his face.

"Oh. So do you have a nickname?" I ask.

"Yeah. My name's Thomas but you can call me Tommy if you want." He says sending me a wink at the end.

I blush slightly before nodding, "Ok. My name's Briceida by the way." I say looking at the cloudless sky.

"Briceida...beautiful name for a beautiful girl." I hear him say causing my blush to slightly turn darker.

"Are you trying to flirt with me?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

He shakes his head, "That's not flirting, it's called being honest." He says with a smile, "This is flirting. Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again."

I roll my eyes but can't help but let a smile creep onto my face, "Yea I do." I say blushing at the three words that slipped out of my mouth.

I watch as his smile widens, "Perfect! Cause your my true love." He says.

I laugh, "We just meet!" I say smiling happily.

"Yea so you said you believe in love at first sight, and I clearly do too. So obviously this is a match made in heaven." He says as if it's the most obvious thing ever.

"I mean your attractive, but we just meet!" I say my black eyes widening, "We don't even know anything about each other besides each others names."

"Fine how about we get to know each other better by starting off as friends." Says Thomas.

I think about it for a few moments before nodding, "Ok. Deal." I say sticking my hand out for Thomas to shake.

Thomas takes my hand an shakes it, "Deal. Ok well since this is only your first full day here care to eat dinner with me?" He asks standing up and holding out a hand for me to take.

I think about it then nod, "Sure, that sounds nice." I say taking his hand as he helps me to my feet. I say a quick thanks and he smirks.

"Race you there!" He says before taking off running towards the Homestead.

"Hey no fair! You got a headstart and your a Runner!" I say bolting after him, surprisingly I'm able to keep up with him and we're neck to neck. After a few minutes we both reach the Homestead out of breath an panting.

"Your pretty fast for not being a Runner." He says in between gasps.

I let out a breathless laugh, "You too Tommy." I say as I put my hands on my knees to support myself, my head hanging letting my black hair become like a curtain, hiding my face.

"Hey don't do that!" I hear Thomas suddenly say.

"Huh? Don't do what?" I ask confused my heart race finally starting to calm down.

"Don't hide your face. It's too beautiful for that. " He says.

I finally stand up straight and tuck my black hair behind my ears, "There better?" I ask.

"Much. Now let's eat I'm starving." He says smiling.

"Good that." I say laughing. 'This must be love at first sight.'
