Life has many different chapters for us. One bad chapter doesn't mean it's the end of the book.
It's 12noon and the volunteers decided to take a break for an hour.
"Ah, Dawn.. Heto, kinuha ko para sayo."(Handing over a small tuperware with a mineral bottled water)"-R
"Thank you. Ikaw? meron kna?"-D
"Sige eat well. I gave my share to the old lady. Ang payat kasi niya. Tyming din na that was the last box of lunch that we have. Busog pa naman ako."-R
(He smiled)
"I appreciate what you did Goms but what we did this morning was very tirring. That's why we need to eat kasi may round two pa mamaya. Hanggang 4pm pa tayo dito. So you need to eat."-D(with a serious face)
After all this years. She is still concerned with him. They are still friends after all. Their eyes glued on each other.
"Goms, let's share. Sige na,I wouldn't mind. Kung okay lang din sayo."-D (She smiled)
(She hand over the fork)
"Oh.. Sakin yung spoon, sayo yung fork."(She smiled)
"Dawn? Thank you. You're still that sweet and loving Dawn that I've known last 24 years ago."-R
(He touched her hands and smiled at her)
(She tried not to feel awkward, but she was, and she immediately removed her hands. )
"Ano ka ba. After all, we're still friends. I still care about you. At you're still that kind hearted Richard that I've known who has soft heart for the needy." (Yumukong sabi niya while she smiled)
"Sus. Pero thank you Dawn."-R
"Sige na, let's eat. Gutoms na me. he he." (She joked)
They both chuckled and enjoyed their lunch together, thou t'was hard for them to eat using one fork and one spoon and thou she felt a little awkward eating right next at her ex.☺
"Maa'm, excuse po."-Jerry
"Yes Manong Jerry?"-D
"Siya nga pala si Grace maa'm. Pinadala nang dad niyo. P.A niyo daw po."- Jerry
"Sige manong. Thank you ha. Kain tayo."-D
"Sige maa'm tapos na po kami. Mauna na po ako."-Jerry
"Hi Ms. Dawn. Grace po pala. Napakaganda niyo po, lalo na sa personal. he he."-G
"Thank you Grace."(She smiled)
"Maganda talaga. Mabait pa."-R
(Their eyes met)
"Diba kayo po si Richard Gomez? Kayo po ang favorite love team ni mama wayback 24 years ago. Inaabangan niya nga kung kailan kayo babalik on screen. Nakakamiss daw kayo.(She smiled)"-G
And there was silence........
Richard's POV:
Oo nakakamiss kaming dalawa. Pero mas namiss ko siya. I miss her laugh, her jokes, her hugs and kisses. Na miss q lahat sa kanya. Kung maibabalik ko lang.
(They stared at each other. Malagkit ang tingin nila sa isat isa.)
"Wow. I'm flattered. Thank you ha. Hindi na siguro ako babalik. Ayoko nang mag showbiz muna."-D
Richards thoughts:
(Weh? Paano kung magkaka project ulit tayo? Hindi mo ako ma hihindian babe)
Richard smiled.
"What's funny Goms?"-D (Now she's serious)
"Ah... Eh... Wala. May dumi ka kasi sa mukha. Wait kukunin ko."-R
