I hate when stories start in the middle of a scene or when stories start with a boring plot description. Those are the worst.
I'll save you the pain and I'll start my story with who I am.
My name is Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jen. I live in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Fayetteville sucks. If a teenager wants to have some fun, they have 3 choices: go to a movie, go to the Round-A-Bout skating rink, or play some putt putt. Fayetteville is only famous for 2 reasons: Fort Bragg military base and J. Cole.
I guess the irony of growing up in Fayetteville is that everyone wants to leave yet everyone always comes back.
Well, there was one exception. I left and I never came back. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.Growing up, I lived with both of my parents and two brothers. My parents were highly obnoxious. They were always arguing. In fact, my childhood consisted of constant fights and a mother who was never happy. We all know that when your mom isn't happy, no one is. Somehow my brothers and I turned out to be okay.
My older brother, Allen, is now 21 years old. He's a senior in college. I don't really hear from him much, but I also don't care. He's doing something with his life, so good for him. My younger brother, Kent, is 14 years old. He's definitely the smartest one in the family. He and I are really close. We bicker over the pettiest things, but we can always make each other laugh.
So what about me? I'm 16 years old. I'm a junior in high school and I couldn't be happier. I love my school, I love my friends, and I love staying busy...but most importantly, I love the Lord.
My goal in life to teach high school English and drama. I love the high school environment and I'd love to work in it. I also love playing soccer and acting. Those areas are my specialties.
My life is like that of any other normal Christian. I'm a good girl who makes careless mistakes. I know right from wrong and I try to be a good Christian. But as we all know, it's not easy.
So what has caused my life to go from normal to insane? Fasten your intellectual seat belts...it's going to be a long ride.
