December 4
They say time flies when you're having fun - I believe it. Harry and I have spent the last month in utter bliss. Our devotionals have gone extremely well. In fact, we're already in Ruth. He loves all the Bible stories and we are comfortable enough to have deep conversations. I've opened my heart to him and he's opened his to me. He hasn't actually told me the truth regarding his sister, but I'm sure he will...I hope he will. Even though it's only the beginning of December, Harry wants to go Christmas shopping. I plan on getting him a Bible for Christmas. I'm sure he'll love it.
Until next time, Jen.
I closed my diary and slid it under my pillow. I sat up and looked out the window. The estate was covered in a blanket of white. Little snowflakes continued to fall gracefully on and around the house. The beauty of winter was so calming and ironically warmed my heart. I looked at the clock beside my bed. It was 10:41 am. I had to be ready by 11.
I went to the wardrobe and pulled out a big burgundy sweater and skinny jeans. I changed into the warm outfit and dug in a drawer for fuzzy socks. Once on, I found a pair of boots appropriate for snow and laced them up. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I applied my daily makeup: concealer, powder, natural eye shadow, jet black mascara, and light lip gloss. I picked the strawberry flavored gloss because I knew it was Harry's favorite.
I let down my hair which fell into a wavy style. I pinned my side bangs back and returned to my room. I grabbed my fur coat, mittens, and earmuffs. Then, I headed downstairs.
"You look lovely." Harry said with a cheeky grin. He walked toward me and planted a kiss on my forehead. Niall made a playful noise of disgust in the background. I giggled as Harry flashed him the finger behind my back.
"Ready to go?" Harry asked. I noticed his warm clothes and just wanted to snuggle into his arms.
"Go where?" Niall said from behind us.
"None of your damn business." Harry rolled his eyes.
"We're going Christmas shopping." I said to Niall.
"Oh! I wanna go! I need to get out of this house. Louis' sour attitude is ruining the Christmas spirit." Niall said, yelling the last part to make sure Louis heard it.
"Fuck you and fuck Christmas." Louis yelled from upstairs.
"There is no way you're going with us. Fuck off." Harry answered.
I elbowed Harry. He knew I didn't like curse words. "Sure, you can come with us." I said. Harry looked at me with pleading eyes.
"I need to go, too." Liam said as he left the kitchen.
"What? Why?" Harry said in an irritated tone.
"Sophia and I are going to New York for Christmas and New Years to visit her family. I have to get gifts before we leave."
"When are you leaving?" Harry asked.
"This weekend. Sorry I forgot to tell you. I just found out yesterday."
Harry groaned. It was obvious he didn't want everyone going shopping with us. Footsteps trailed down the stairs. Louis stood at the bottom of the steps.
"Can I come, too?" he asked. All of our eyes widened.
Harry's voice became sarcastic. "Sure, and while we're at it, we'll take Santa, all of his reindeer, and the entire city of London with us to go shopping."
Everyone ignored his comment. Niall laughed and asked, "Louis, why do you want to go Christmas shopping?"
Louis shifted uncomfortably. "That's none of your business."
"Who are you shopping for? Are you actually getting us something for Christmas?" Liam asked with a laugh.
"No. I won't give you assholes anything other than my middle finger. If you must know, I have a girlfriend and she got me something so I have to get her something."
Our jaws dropped. Harry was the first to speak. "You have a girlfriend?"
Niall was next. "You are capable of affection?"
Liam was last. "You shouldn't get your girlfriend a gift out of obligation. You should get her a gift because you want to."
Louis crossed his arms. "I'm new to this, okay? Can we just go?"
Harry threw the keys at Liam. "Fuck it. Let's go."
Louis walked toward the door as he punched Niall in the arm. "Go fuck yourself." Niall grabbed his arm in pain and laughed to himself. We all hurried outside and climbed into the black SUV. Liam cranked the heat and we headed downtown to the mall.
