"It's so good to see you too, Otis."

I released him after patting his back one last time. I couldn't quite see his features clearly, but I always loved seeing the old man smile.

"Old man?" He chuckled.

I chuckled a little too, but internally smacked myself. I had allowed my mind to open up, and it's not that I don't trust Otis, it's only because there's another vampire in the room whom I didn't recognize. If there wasn't anyone else there, I would have gladly left my mind open so that me and Otis could talk like before. It has only been a year, I know, but I haven't seen Otis since my move to Stockerton.

I smile and ask, "What brings you to Stokerton? Is the Council meeting here for a trial?"

Otis shook his head and opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He looked quite troubled, and, somehow, I knew that what he was going to say may change my life yet again.

He opened his mouth one more time before I heard Snow screaming.

~Snow~

"No...NO!"

I kicked, begged, and screamed for them to let me go. I was hanging from silver chains that were attatched to the cieling, and my clothes were torn in several places. They've been beating me for what seems like hours-no, days. I don't know how I got here, but I sure as hell wanted out.

"Please. Just let me go, I have nothing to give!"

"Oh, yes you do miss. You have the location of the hybrid we search for. Now, either you tell us, or we'll splash you with garlic juice."

Tears were streaming from my cheeks. They were going to kill him if I told them where Vlad was. I wasn't going to betray him, and I'd die before I would let that happen. But, there were still things I wanted to do with him. Things I wanted to say to him. Fate was ever so cruel to us. Why?

I looked at the man who spoke, but all I saw was a dark, blurry figure. My vision was failing, and my strength completely depleted. I gave the chains one last tug...but to no avail.

"It's no use," the man hissed. "Just tell us where she is and we'll be sure to give you a quick and painless death."

I hung there, confused. What the hell were they talking about. The only hybrid she knew was Vlad. Was there another person out there who's half human and half vampire?

"Who are you talking about? I know nothing of a female hybrid."

I felt something connect with my lower jaw so hard I was literally seeing stars. I blinked several times, and, when my vision cleared, my capture spoke, "Don't try and decieve me, for I know you do. Now stop hiding her, and hand her over. Now!"

To be honest, I didn't care if they continued this anymore. They were going to kill me anyway. So I hung my head and allowed my tears to free fall, knowing that I would never see Vlad again. They will keep me here and continue their torture me until I break, but I would never give them that satisfaction. I closed my eyes, and whispered to myself, "I'm sorry", before I was bathed in a waterfall of garlic juice and screamed for all that I was worth.

~Vlad~

I didn't think at all, and used my vampiric speed to reach the room. I was by her side within seconds. She was thrashing her arms and legs as if she were being attacked. Her face was red, and her eyes were wet with tears.

Taking a hold of her shoulders, I shook her and called out her name, "Snow. Snow! Wake up!"

She tried to push me away, but I tightened my grip and embraced her. I closed my eyes and yelled at her in her mind, "Snow! Open your eyes, it's me. What you're seeing isn't real. Come back to me."

This time she stopped fighting me, and slowly wrapped her arms around me. I released a sigh of relief. She's awake.

We stayed that way for a couple of minutes before she began to shudder, which led to crying. This dream was no ordinary dreams. This was a vision. I would know, I had tons of these in high school. I didn't think much of them, but for Snow, it was difficult. It seemed as though every vision she had was getting worse. She's even confessed of being afraid to sleep.

I ran my hand along her back, trying to soothe her. When that didn't work, I slipped some memories of us into her mind. Happy times, and she began to calm down.

Once her crying stopped in all, I lifted her off the bed and slid myself under her. I knew that if I left her alone again, she might scream. I'm glad we built this house by the cliff, away from everyone, but still in Stockerton. It was reallythe only place we could get away.

"Vlad?"

I looked down at snow. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She still sniffled here and there, and her hair was everywhere. I smiled and asked, "What is it, love?"

"I think you can return time to its original state now," she said, and looked towards the door.

I turned to look as well, and saw a blurry image of Otis running in in slow motion. I chuckled. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm using my Pravus poweres, they just kick in. I released my hold on time, and Otis was again running with vampiric speed.

He looked worried, but his features softened once he saw that everything had passed. Then, almost immediately, Otis looked quite confused. I chuckled again, and said, "I accidentally stopped time."

He chuckled too, and turned to Snow with obvious concern in his eyes. "Are you alright, Snow?"

"I'm fine, thank you," she smiled, greatful that he cared. "It's always nice to see you Otis. What brings you to our home at this hour?"

I looked at him too, remembering that he was going to say something before Snow screamed. He looked me dead in the eyes, and said, "I'm afraid our war is not yet over. A new enemy has sprung forward, and they are targeting you and her," he turned towards the door and gestured for his companion to move closer.

I furrowed my brow and asked, "Who is after me? I thought we settled it last year?"

"Vlad, you should know that there's more about you than we realised, and it's difficult for me to say this."

He looked me in the eyes, and said, "You are not half-human, but a half-werewolf."

I looked at him, utterly shocked. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out.

How...where...who...what the hell? I thought.
