I looked at my brother. He was afraid. Afraid of what he was becoming. Afraid of what he would do next.

I slipped into his mind carefully. Big mistake. His mind was a mess; too much for me to handle at once. I fell to my knees holding my head.

Kill....No, I can't...Snow...Otis....Henry....Killl!...Monster...!

His emotions were poured out. The dam he kept hidden and locked up now poured and covered every inch of his mind. I slipped immediately out, stood, and walked towards him.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, I said, "Vladimir, please listen to me. The ones who ordered this are not finished. They will return and stop at nothing to finish what they started. We must go now, but I need you right now. Your attention and all."

I waited for his response. He took a moment to actually understand what I was saying, and nodded. I gave him a small smile and tried to tell him through telepathy, hoping his mind was at ease now, "I need you to carry your...'friend'. I will grab Otis and alert your...uh, mate?...that we are leaving to my safe haven."

He quickly nodded and rushed to the human who was faintly breathing. I made my way to Otis, and looked him over. There was dried blood on his head, where fresh blood still lingered. I quickly, but carefully picked him up and placed him over my shoulder.

Looking to my brother, he held the human over his shoulder the same way I had Otis. We nodded to each other, and ran upstairs. His mate- not sure who she is was exactly where I left her.

Vladimir stepped forward, placed a hand on her shoulder, but said nothing. My guess...telepathy.

Their 'conversation' was brief, so once everything was clear, I walked outside with them in tow.

I walked a few meters away from the house before stopping and placed Otis on the floor. I could feel Vladimir's confused gaze on me, but did not face him. It is better to show and explain later.

I jumped in the air, and let my body be overcome by Nadya. In one swift moment, my body erupted in long, soft white fur. I didn't have to worry about my clothes slid off with ease (my favorite feature of the armor).

When I landed, my brother took a step back and in front of his love...protectively. I stood tall, and said to him and his woman, "You have nothing to fear, brother. Nor I nor Nadya will harm you. It is simply faster for all of us to reach the haven if you rode on my back, since I am the only concious one who knows location of the Haven."

They eased a bit, but were reluctant to say the least. I instructed them on how to mount so that everyone fit perfectly. Once all were "on board",I said these three simple words before dashing into the forest, "Hold on tight."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

It only took us half an hour to reach since I was quick with or without passengers. Transforming to arrive faster was only half truth. If he transformed, I may not control him. I didn't want to loose another pack mate, again.

Upon arrival, they all dismounted so that I may show them the entrance. The Haven was at a waterfall, and very difficult to find since the scent was hidden under all the hieroglyphs placed by Thomas some time ago. The door was quite hidden underneath the shrubs and water. If you're careful, you might not get wet.

Once all of us were inside, I asked Vladimir to remove the two that were still unconcious and hand me my armor. I had to get dressed quickly in order to explain to them our situation...perhaps even my past to further explain my purpose here.
