Snow
It was silent. No one moved. No one spoke. Everything went dead silent.
'What happened tonight?' I thought to myself. All of this happened in a blur.
First, Vlad. And now, Vera...Nadya? Well, whatever her name is, it's all her fault. If she hadn't shown up, none of this would have happened.
All of this could have been avoided.
All of it...right?

Henry
I need to get to Vlad. Something isn't right. This is all just...weird. That girl from earlier looked exactly like him, only more feminine. I don't know her, but I trust her. Her little episode, as weird and strange as it was, proved a point.
I have to get downstairs right now. With the look on her face, it for sure didn't mean everything was all handy-dandy.
I moved around Snow to get a closer look into the basement. But, it was too dark to see anything passed the first few steps. I stepped even closer...nothing. I took another step being sure to keep clear of the bloody body, but was held back. I looked behind me to see that Snow was grasping my arm.
"What?" I asked.
"We are supposed to stay here. I know Vlad is down there, and-"
"That is why I need to get down there," I interrupted.
She looked at me for a moment, then at the door, and back at me. "Something, anything, could happen to us down there. You saw those people as well as I did. We are no match Henry. Besides, Otis is down there."
"All the more reason to be down there ourselves, Snow. I mean, I've stood by Vlad's side for the majority of my life. Even when the odds of what we were facing were impossible. We fought an ancient vampire that was stronger than him and Otis. We battled a bounty hunter, and even fought against his father and trusted mentor. I won't abandon him. Not now."
She looked at me, analyzing what I just said. I looked from, her to the door, and back. I was wasting time being up here. So I looked at Snow dead in the eyes and said, "You're his girlfriend, Snow. You were once his drudge. You of all people should be more eager than I to get down there."
I yanked my arm away, and made my way downstairs. It was a little slippery from all the blood, so I had to hang on to the railing in order to keep my balance. I would have had to anyway. It was getting too dark to even see my own nose in front of me.
There was a slight rustling sound that came from my left when I reached the bottom. I looked around the room to no avail.
"Vera," I heard someone half yell to nothing. I knew that voice to belong to Otis.
I was going to respond, but before I could, a sharp pain erupted from the back of my head. I fell to the ground losing consciousness. I tried to move my arms, but they wouldn't work. I couldn't move a single muscle.
In front of me, not long after I had fallen, I heard two voices yell, "OTIS!"
'Those voices...I recognized them. They belonged to...to...', I thought to myself. I was having a hard time focusing. I tried harder, but I was being consumed by my own mind. I didn't want to leave yet, I had something to do. Someone important to protect. Who was it? Why?
I could not finish my last thought. My mind was now all i had. Though the room was already dark, another type of darkness took over, and I couldn't escape it.
