I looked up from my daze, and saw a shaken Otis. He was starring at my brother, who was spasming on the floor. His body was growing and expanding. I knew exactly what was going on, but Otis did not. I walked to him, and told him, "It's okay, I know what to do. Go upstairs, and no matter what you hear, do not come downstairs. Understand?"

He looked at me quizzically for a moment, but nodded after a minute or so. I had not mentioned to him what I was going to do, but it is better if I don't.

He looked back at Vladimir before walking upstairs. He didn't trust me yet. I don't blame him. I don't even trust myself.

Vladilena, I heard my wolf call me. We must focus on the task at hand. Vladimir is unstable, so is his wolf. We will dicuss your trust issues later, but I think it's about time to meet 'him' don't you think?

I nodded, and looked at my brother, who was in what my people call "warrior form".

He looked fierce, but, compared to me, was still weak. His wolf was a black wolf. An alpha breed. But, guess what? I was also built to be an alpha. A white furred alpha. I squared my shoulders, stood tall, and looked into my brothers eyes. The ultimate stare-off. I needed to show him I wasn't intimidated by his size.

"Hmph," I quietly chuckled to myself. His wolf didn't even k ow that he was in the wrong form for that. I slightly squinted my eyes and asked him in my native tongue, "My brother, I welcome you to your new life. My name is Vladilena, your alpha..."

"My alpha?" he chuckled. "If I am correct sister, I am the eldest. I am stronger and capable of more than you know. You don't compare to me."

I took a deep breath, and, still looking into his eyes, said, "What you speak is only partially true brother. However, I hold the upper-hand in this matter...You see, I have awakened much earlier than you I'm afraid. Please stand down and join my pack."

He then growled at me. "I will not. What kind of alpha says please? I say you join my pack."

He stepped forward.

"Please, brother, you do not want to do this. My wolf will put you in place if you do not stop this. Stand down!"

He then took another, daring me to let her out. Nadya, don't hurt him. Please.

She didn't answer me. I asked again, but still, she remained quiet. In front of me, my brother and his wolf took another step forward. That is when she stepped in. My armor slipped off of me as I grew in size. White fur began to sprout all over, my bones swifly shifted to the necessary shape. My arms and legs snapped, but the pain I felt was just a tingle now. I landed on all fours, my muzzle and my brother in my sight. It all happened within a second. And a second later, Nadya had him pinned with one paw on his chest. She kept the eye contact as she growled at him in warning. He snapped his teeth at her, she did the same.

He grabbed our front paw to remove it from its new resting place. He was strong, but not stronger than us. He tried again, and this time, yelled in the language of our people, "Release me! I command you, release me!"

"You are not alpha!" she barked. "You are beta, and you will stay beta until you have learned who we are."

He finally looked away, and submitted to me. Well...to Nadya, but you get the point.

We moved off of him, allowing him to stand. Once he was on his two feet, Nadya asked, "My brother whom I welcome in open arms, what is your name?"
